Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
Looking at your fasting and pp glucose levels, it is clear that diabetes is not at all in control. Ideally in a well controlled diabetes fasting glucose should be < 100 mg & pp 160 to 170 mg and hba1c% < 7, considering your age. It is clear that present medication is not helping, there is a need for upgrading the treatment. Apart from that there is a need to give a closer look at the diet and extent of daily exercise being done. Therefore, you may plea...more

Get your c-peptide test done after 8 hour fasting. C-peptode is a amino acid complex released when a molecule of proinsilin breaks down to insulin hence it is an indirect measurement of insilin. Normalrange is 0.5-2 ng/ml of blood. If your c-peptide is less than normal means insulin is less and indicates type 1 diabetes, if more than more insulin is produced as in type 2 diabetes.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. From which it is clear that you have diabetes since last 5 years and are metfoormin, glimiperide & voglibos and also have developed erectile dysfunction (ed). But there is no mention of current glucose levels (fasting & pp, hba1c%, lipid profile, bp readings, dietary pattern & extent of daily exercise. Without all the necessary information there is no way to suggest any medication or give any advise. Please understand...more

Dear lybrate-user,
the medication you are taking for diabetes are standard medication and if your sugar is controlled with it you should continue with it. For peripheral neuropathy good control is the best approach. For sexual problen best to consult a andorogynist. I will not be able to any suggest unani medicine.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the query. You have mentioned about having diabetes as well as depression. But there is no information on blood glucose, (fasting & pp), hba1c%, lipid profile, dosage of medications being taken, dietary details and extent of daily exercise. With out having all the necessary information, there is no way to advise. Problems with sexual performance are quite often seen as a complication of diabetes, particularly if blood glucose is not well controlled.more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I get a feeling that I have answered this query yesterday. Both fasting and PP glucose levels are high. There is a need to upgrade the overall treatment.
Following are my observations : 1) Weight is too high with a BMI of 34.04 kgs she is close to grade 2 obesity. This is a major hindrance for better glucose control.
2) There is a need to look at the dietary pattern, extent of daily physical activity and lipid profile details, serum creatinine and urea...more
