No escitalopram is an antidepressant is an espazine antipsychotic used for schziphrenia, etc. Both totallly different.

This is the usual treatment, but may not be the best answer. Anxiety requires identifying the source, finding a solution. May improve by making friends, helping others, developing hobbies, spending time doing things that satisfy and make you feel good.

adding another antidepressant is warranted in certain cases. There are guidelines for its addition. One can not load himself with antidepressants however chronic it is. Please consult your psychiatrist about it. Since he is following you up for many years, he may add venlafaxine or a mood stabiliser ot therapy for psychosocial issues keeping the depression for a long time. It depends on the diagnosis.

A pint or two of beer taken very occasionally shall not much affect your medication. But alcohol does not help rather impairs your ability to manage anxiety in the long run.
