Dear Mr. lybrate-user,
either vaccine is to be given with caution in patients' with allergies. Only patients with severe allergic response (anaphylaxis) should not have the vaccine but others can have the vaccine. Please do mention to the vaccine center doctor about her allergies and share her medical history with them before getting the vaccine.

Some rare side-effects that have come along with the different covid-19 vaccines have raised quite a lot of doubt in the public. That said, one of the most prominent and talked about vaccine reactions is the 'covid arm' if you have got the covid vaccine and have noticed a swollen skin rash around the injected area, then chances are that you have developed a 'covid arm'

It is absolutely not advisable to skip the second dose if there was no side effects after the first one. It is advised to keep a close watch for any side effects, in which case please visit the nearest hospital immediately as they are manageable in most of the cases.
Please do not switch vaccine choice - either take 2 doses of covishield or 2 doses of covaxin. If mixed up, there are higher chances of side effects. In case you have further queries, you can take it up on a private conversation...more
