Dextromethorphan should be avoided in small children.
Only give syp flucold 2.5 ml three times a day.

Hello Màm, I got zyoptix surgery done last month. IT'S been more than a month I had surgery and it was successful. My left eye haas cleared up pretty well but my right eye is still blurry and cloudy. I got thorough check up done by my eye surgeon and he says everything is alright and my right eye is healing as good as left eye. There are also no problems wih flap as well. The problem of blurriness increases in dim light and is not very noticeable in bright outdoor surroundings. Sometimes I see a bit of shadow around the borders. My surgeon says that the problem is mostly due to dryness and will settle down with time. I just want to know if this problem is normal and is there anything I need to worry about? Also I have been using Lubrex eye drops and oflacin dx eye drops. Thank you.

lasik flaps heal in 6-12 weeks. So till then do not worry
dryness is very common in initial few weeks after lasik. So keep using eyedrop lubrex.

Sir I had fever and cough for 7 days. Doctor prescribed some medicines for 3 days but coughing was not improved. So he did a x ray and said its TB. I started tb drugs and continued for 7 days. All my sputum test mt test and gene xpert were negative. I was continuing tb drugs. My cough was gone at this time after 7 days of tb drugs with levofloxacin and rimphapicin. I consulted with another doctor and did a fresh x ray in which my lungs were clear so he told me you are suffering from TB as in tb lungs do not get clear in a week. He prescribed lincotus dx only. After few days mild coughing starts again with grey mucus like before. What should I do? Can it be TB?

Hi lybrate-user. If the xray was clear then there are less chances of it being TB.
But to confirm you may take further tests like Motux test.
And you can also consider taking homoeopathic treatment.

For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and I will suggest you to upload the image of the lesion for diagnosis and further guidance and we should rule out any kind of fungal infection and plan treatment accordingly.

2 months ago, I was suffering from cold and dry cough. It was not troublesome so I took dry cough syrup and the cough seemed to ease off a little bit. But I used to have cold and stuffed / blocked nose every morning. The cold never stopped but it was not very troublesome so I did not bother. Last month, I started having difficulty breathing while sleeping in the night. I began taking dry cough syrup tusq dx syrup and the shortness of breath didn't trouble as much. And now since 3 days i'm having difficulty breathing several times round the day. in summary: cold and dry cough since 2+ months. The cough (phlem) has become very thick and jelly like. I'm going to visit a doctor too. I just want to know if this is normal or could be something very dangerous. Also, what would be your advise?

If you care it's uri never dangerous but two months it's long time.
Steam inhalation with vicks two-time at least 5 min session.

Respected sir/mam, my age is 29 years male, married, no smoking, no alcohol. I have chronic dry cough at day time only from last one year (intermittent). It never happens when I sleep (even if I sleep at day time). When I take montelukast and levocetirizine with cozymin dx then cough goes and after 2-3 weeks it starts again. Irritation happens in my throat that causes cough. If I take same medicine it becomes all fine again. I don't have acidic problem. Our family have no asthma history. Please suggest any of allopathy/ayurvedic/homeopathic medicine I shall be very thankful to you.

First I got infected with cold and cough on 19th march, I got a cough syrup (choco dx) and tablets (almok 500, nimesulide and 1 from zydus fortiza) from a medical shop. The moment cold and cough cured bowel movements and stomach upset started from 25th march. I consulted a (dr md physician) he advised me of o2 and nexpro rd 40. After having it for 2 days symptoms a little bit reduced but now I am feeling the same symptoms like it used to be earlier. My body temp remains below 98°f, but body feels hot, mouth taste changed, loss of appetite even a single bread I can not eat, gas burps are frequent, stool is like pulpy and brown in color and I am not getting energy at all, every time I feel sleepy. Hello doctors. I am 67 years male with no medical history except on medication for cholesterol and eye drops for the corneal replacement done 1 year back. Once in a while I get pain in my eyes.
