Asked for male, 45 years old from Kolkata

I am a 45 year old male. I used to take aten 25 since last 20 years. A month ago my bp shot up to 180/100. A cardiologist prescribed me met xl 50 and telma h.after my second visit the cardiologist prescribed ivabrad 5 along with the other two medicines and I was asked to undergo a thyroid test. My current bp is 130/80 while my heart rate is 121/min. The side effects of the drugs are a major concern as I am feeling light headed specially while walking. I am also concerned about the electrolyte imbalance that telma h is associated with. Is there any medicine with no/minimum side effect available in my case?

Yes there are many medicines for hypertension but please dont correlate your problems with side effects mentioned anywhere.Consult your doctor who will do the needful.

I am having body pain along with head spinning and feeling feverish but without temperature and severe weakness. Sometimes I feel headache. This has been happening for last 3 months. I have done a blood re test which showed normal result for all parameters except a very low esr level (05) where as the normal level is 10-14. I have also done a cavity test which was negative. Blood sugar level is normal along with normal hba1c and normal lipid profile. Tsh level is normal and creatinine level is also normal. Blood pressure 130/80. I work in a bank and have to wear face mask and face shield for 8 hours a day. Staring at a computer through the shield is strenuous. I take two medicines for hypertension which are ivabrad 5 mg and cilacar 10 mg. I also had asthmatic problem in childhood but now it is normal. I am 27 years old. Please help me why am I having these symptoms and why is the esr level is very low?

Get ur thyroid profile, CBC, blood sugar fasting checked from some lab. In the meanwhile Follow this
1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic). ) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do.

I was recommended to take ngs (cares testing) next-generation sequencing for my mother which can be useful to current treatment. cares and hope foundation are the two labs recommended in united states (estimated around rs. 5 lakhs. Wanted to know is there any good labs available in india for ngs which is cost effective. Please suggest if any. Disease history: my mother was diagnosed with metastatic rectum and breast cancer (both primary) in nov 2015. Immediately gave cape (2000 mg/d)-ox (200 mg) + bevacizumab (500 mg), 6 cycles last cycle mar 2016. Then she took only anastrozole till dec 2020. She had excellent disease free interval till dec 2020. As cea and ca 125 markers raised doctor rechallenged with the same treatment bevacizumab and took 6 cycles (may 2021 last cycle). This time treatment was not much effective. Now recent pet taken on 29 dec shows progression in liver. Liver biopsy consistent with breast carcinoma, currently taking abemaciclib (ramiven 100 mg), letrozole 2.5 mg, mirtaz 7.5 mg, shelcal 500 mg, brevipil, ivabradine, thyronorm.

My brother is recently discharged from hospital admitted with fluid overload. Weight loss from 80 kg to 71 kg before discharged. Past history: non ischemic DCM, HTM, DM. Current medication: Ecosprin 75 mg OD, Lasix 40 mg BD, Cardivas 6.25 mg BD, Zyloric 100 mg OD, Sompraz-D OD, Diamicron Mr. 30 mg OD, Ivabradine 2.5 mg BD. On examination: HR: 80 bpm BP: 140/80 mmhg, SatsO2: 96% on RA, CVS: s1 s2 normal. RS: Bilat basal crepitations Bilat pitting poedal odema. P/Abd: Distended with clinical ascites. Clinical impression: DCM. Investigations: Hb 8.6, cr 2.2, Na 130, K 4.9, CI 105. Plan: iron studies, abdomen usg. Usg reports: 14 cm liver shows course echotexture. Impression: Gross Ascites. Latest investigation: Cr 2.4, UR-63, Serum Sodium-135, Serum Potassium-4.6, Serum Chlorides:- Tot bil-0.6, Total Serum proteins: 6.1, Serum Albumin-3.4, Serum Globulin-2.7, OT-21, PT-11, Patients P.T-12.7, PT control-10.5, I.N.R-1.2. Now again my brother has put on weight from 71 kg to 75 kg. advice usg with tapping for remove excess fluids & also referred for gastroenterologist. Please advise me.

My suggestion is to start homoeopathic treatment.. it can control the ascites with medicnes... and can improve the general condition better than allopathic meidicines.. and it can be taken with other treatment also...

My father is taking blood thinner ecosprin with some other medicines for heart due to the stents fixed. Now faced duodenal ulcer bleeding and taking medicines along with heart medicines. If he has to get complete cure ,blood thinner can be replaced by magnesium or any other supplement? And what medicines should be avoided?
