I am a man age 42, an engineer with a lot of mental workload. My psychiatrist gave me ritalin 10 mg to overcome my depressed feeling, sleepy mood and passive condition (lack of confidence in my activities and work). It helped me with my concentration too. I took it a quarter, half or 3 quarters. The good feeling and active mood goes away after a couple of hours and I have to take a new piece again. The doctor has told me my total daily dosage of ritalin should’t go beyond two tablets. Recently I am taking metride 18 mg (prolong- release methylphenidate hydrochloride). It is not a breakable tablet, but one tablet keeps me positive all days long. The problem is I feel stressful and fearful when I get it, just opposite to when I take ritalin. Ritalin makes me very happy and laugh around a lot, which is not good for my job situation. I am thinking about microdoses of cannabis, as read about it in papers. In general, I need something that boost my self-confidence, gives me concentration, takes me out of sleepy and tiered mood and makes me active. And more important, a safe dosage that does’t damage my brain’s cells. I appreciate if you can give me help and idea to overcome my problem. For sure, for any usage and taking medicine, I go to my psychiatrist first and I receive his prescription. However, I need your medical help and idea to know what I have to look for. Thanks.

1st don't take cannabis at all. They are the most harmful substance available on planet earth.
You can take ritaline 10 mg two times in a day.
They are ment for long term use and has no major side effects if taken under supervision.

The long-term effects of drugs like methylphenidate and amphetamines which are being used in the treatment of adhd include drug-dependency and depression more commonly. The treatment for these kind of side effects are symptomatic.

Depends on what medicine you are taking. But generally there are no long term effects of adhd medicines. Atomoxetin can effect liver function tests but it is reversible on stopping the medicine. Methylphenidate is safe and has no long term effects.
Regarding spine block injections kindly discuss with an orthopedic surgeon.

Hello; first you have to stop giving him neurocetum or similar named syrup you are giving him. What is your son's weight & height? c. Atomoxetine (acepta) is a very good medication & we can increase its dose depending on your sons responses like studies, behavior in class etc. In addition, there are other good medications like methylphenidate, clonidine also which can be prescribed if required. I want to ask the question regarding the medicine tab inspiral- sr 20. It is prescribed to me by my doctor in the morning. I want to know that it has short term affect only i.e. On the daily basis from morning to evening or on taking it daily for weeks or months it creates long lasting affect. I.e. We should not miss its doses to get near to permanent change in mind and how long does it take to start this medicine make an impact on us or create changes. I am assuming you were prescribed Inspiral (methylphenidate) for ADHD. This medication will not cause long term changes to your brain, rather will help you increase productivity on a daily basis i.e. Each day you take them your work efficiency and quality of life will be better.
Over time this may help you have a better life amd increase your cnofidence. If you miss a dose your day could be worse than what ot was earlier due to rebound effects.

Day time sleep disorder may have some cause like obesity, sleep apnoea or narcolepsy. You should have a general cheque up by a physician and ent specialist. If normal but problem persisits you should consult a sleep disorder specialist or neurophysicain to manage.

Hello. Is bupropion 150 mg sr really good to treat adhd? Or atomoxetine is much better and effective at treating adhd? I was told bupropion can also be tried once as it can also help with adhd. Please advise.

Atomoxetine and methylphenidate are the first line medication for ADHD, bupripion is considered as second line treatment for ADHD treatment. I hope it clear your doubts.
