You can take telvas beta 50 Telvas Beta 50 Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. Yes you can switch to losartan and cilnidipine.
Losartan has benefits in reducing uric acid also. It will control bp and prevent remodeling of heart too. Adding cildnipine will further help to control bp by dilating blood vessels and reducing work load on heart.
The mainstay of treatment for lvh with diastolic dysfunction is ace/arbs, diuretics, ccbs and beta blockers!
beta blockers may later be added if needed!

Metoprolol is a safe and effective medicine, a class of drug called beta blockers. Any beta blocker will have similar side effect profile. If you are too worried with the adverse effects, you can ask visit an electrophysiologist (cardiologist who specializes in svt) and ask if you qualify for an "ablation procedure" this may help get rid of beta blockers.

Your depressive symptoms and targets for medications need to be understood and then the proper medication and cbt chosen. Good luck.

Hi Mr. lybrate-user. At what time do you take metoprolol? Is it a sustained release tablet? Metoprolol controls you bp and your heart rate, so if you are taking metoprolol only once a day which is short acting form -may be by morning the effects wear off and you feel tachycardia. Try taking early morning when you jst wake up. Monitor your bp and pulse in the morning when you are having dizziness. Trika is a habit forming medication and we donot advice to take it for a long time so try getting ri...more
