Ecospirin and atorvastatin are essential in preventing ischemic stroke. Further medication is required based on the presence of intracranial blood vessel occlusion, presence of atrial fibrillation (rhythm abnormality of heart) etc. Which can be commented only after getting results of ct angiogram/mri tof ,ecg and echo of heart. You can upload the details for a detailed opinion.

Hello Lybrate-User,
At this age, There are more chances of it causing complications if you do surgery than you don't. So I will give advise against the surgery.
Better try other treatment options like homoeopathic treatment.
You can consult me at Lybrate or consult a good homoeopathic doctor nearby.

Hi, I would suggest you to meet the neurologist and ask about the side effects of these medicines.
Secondly if the neurologist permits then take help of a physiotherapist. Thirdly give him some memory booster activities like puzzle book or show him many different things for one minute then hide those things. Now tell him to write the name of those things. Take him to some social club.
The side effects of medicines might have affected his memory and gait. please do not reduce and medicine...more
