Hi. There are different types of paronychia and treatment modalities are also different. Firstly we should rule out the cause of his high blood pressure and if he is having any odema in the legs or face than only we should think of a substitute for table salt or otherwise we should make him eat food without salt unless until proven otherwise and for the family who are asymptomatic we should be using a normal regular table salt
