You are a diabetic and hypertensive. You can not afford to stop your bp medicine abruptly.
In case you have problem urinating, get psa done and an ultrasound kub for residual urine.
Monitor your blood sugar and bp regularly and revert with reports.

Follow your doctor's advice. Get her bp monitored regularly, her bp is very detrimental for kidneys. She should take a pinch of salt and a protein-restricted diet. Should not take any painkillers.
