Follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa e...more

Hi, I have been suffering from incomplete evacuation from last 7 years. Have been to a colorectal surgeon and all my reports of colonoscopy, endoscopy are normal. Anorectal manometry was also normal and the report had also specified capacious rectum with increased rectal compliance. My stool had been soft but still facing incomplete evacuation problem. Tried with Ayurvedic medicines thinking it would be constipation but it caused me to go to loo 3 or 4 times a day still with incomplete evacuation. Had taken medicines like rifaximin 2 weeks course couple of times in a year, econorm and husk granules powder. Recently had been to a different doctor and he had prescribed prucalopride. Every day I need to digitally evacuate soft stool 3 or 4 times. Won't get urge need to go to bathroom and digitally help myself. Didn't understand whether it is constipation or diarrhea because stool is soft and incomplete evacuation. Please help.

There are few suggestions: you are suffering from constipation not diarrhea. Diarrhea is drug induced
one is optimal control / management of hypothyroidism is required. That is your tsh levels
to rule out any other metabolic problem like diabetes
take plenty of water and fibre in diet
be active physically
continue prucalopride
meet a gastroenterologist with all your reports, if symptoms persist.

I had diarrhea with severe stomach pain three weeks ago and I took medicines and it stopped in 3 days. But still my stomach didn't feel comfortable. Now again again after a week the stomach pain with loose stools and urgency of passing motion as soon as I eat, frequent burping and gas passing as soon as I eat mostly at night started. So it's been a week with these symptoms same daily and I have been taking rifaximin, nexpro 40 and vsl 3 for the past 4 days but no improvement. I am worried what might be the cause of this. No vomiting. There are small reddish bumps which are very itchy on my back, flank and thighs. Are these related to these symptoms. Is it irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel disease. Is it curable? Should I do colonoscopy or blood tests because I am scared to do these tests. Are there any other tests like ultrasound or stool test to diagnose what these symptoms are? Please reply soon. I am really worried.

Hello doctor. I have been living out of my town in different cities for studies and job for last 10 years .i have a gastric issue of food poisoning 3-4 times in a month .because I often have to eat street food and the food in hotels, restaurants. Because I don't have any cooking facility at my room. So whenever I visited local doctors for gastric problems, doctor used to give me combination of two drugs ofloxacin 200 and ornidazole 500 .this combination worked best for me for 2-3 years. But later it stopped working. Later doctor started giving me combination of ofloxacin200 and tinidazole500. Now this combination also not working. Because I took it for another 2-3 years. Moreover doctor tried rifaximin 400 .but it could not help me. I want to ask you what other drugs are available for my issue. Now i'm getting semi loose stools and feeling of fever and chills. I'm expecting medicines for my current issue.

There are multiple causes for your current health problem
treat the root cause and not the disease or symptoms you need to get a comprehensive blood test with all inflammatory markers, vitamin and mineral levels to find out your overall health status which your current doctor has not done .you cannot treat what you cannot see
the medical history you have provided is not detailed enough to make a proper diagnosis ,no test results, no occupation, diet, lifestyle ,sleep, stress history .gene...more

My mother weight is 26 kg and height 5. She is suffering from ibs d as described by doctors as she usually goes to toilet for 5-7 times every day. From childhood she was 32 kg. But due to this loose motion she is unable to gain weight. She even can't digest protein, fat and dairy products. So she don't like to take protein and dairy products and her diet is mainly carbs and low fat meals. She takes a lot of medicines like lopamide, librax, pantop 20, rifaximin in regular basis. Even in ayurvedic she takes kutsjghan vati. But nothing relieve her from this symptoms. She is suffering from disease since 5 years and in this time period sometimes are feet swell. But now a days it is swelling a lot. All her endoscopy, colonoscopy, stool reports are ok. So I did my liver and kidney profile test. In the report I found my albumin level is 3.2l. Urea -9.8l, bun- 4.6l, bun creatine ratio -8l. Due to covid we could not consult any doctor. Kindly suggest if there is any emergency and why her leg swelling has increased. What can she take to stop her diarrhea and leg swelling. Due to this ibs she has just stopped going out, she becomes nervous and tremble while going out, while talking with new people's, going to doctors for checkup.
