Avoid any type of analgesics and muscle relaxant in first trimester(first three months) of pregnancy. You can wear knee cap, avoid knee bending, hot fomentation can be done, local gel application can also be done. Any medicine should be taken under strict supervision of your Doctor.

I, 30 years male (73 Kg & 5'8) am experiencing severe upper body (back & front) pain only during early hours of sleep (Around 3 AM) since last 2 weeks. I consulted reputed physician and as per his advise I had blood, urine & thyroid tests and cervical spine X-ray. Blood, urine & thyroid test results are in normal range. X-ray report says" Loss of Cervical Lordosis most likely due to Muscular Spasm" BP, Blood sugar levels are normal. Pulse is varying between 52 (night time) - 70 (daytime). After checking the reports, my physician said not to worry and prescribed rantac 150TA, Myospaz and B-29 tablets and further referred me to consult cardiologist at my convenient time. I am using tablets since last 3 days but couldn't see any improvement. Last night also experienced terrible upper body pain at 2 AM. After getting up from bed pain is vanishing and re-occurring while sleeping. Kindly provide the exact causes for this pain and care to be taken off. Thank you in advance for your prompt consideration. By M SURESH.

Upper back pain is fairly common now a days.
Reasons are following-
1. Straining your back muscles constantly in one position (most of the time in awkward position without realising it)
2. Not taking breaks to rest your back muscles
3. Deficiencies of vitamins like vitamin D3, B12 etc
4. Not keeping yourself hydrated
5. Lack of work out for your back muscles specially streching.
6. Adjusting proper position of work station (you did not mention your job, so I can not t...more

What type of doctor should I visit next? I have heart palpitations (i can hear my heart beat loud, I visited a cardiologist he had some tests done on me like echo-cardiograph and ecg which showed normal results), upper back pain (i visited an orthopedist and he did my x-ray and mri and found mild left uncovertebral arthrosis is seen at c3-4 level causing minimal foramina compromise and he prescribed me myospaz forte tablet for 1 week, it didn't solve anything) and irritable bowel syndrome (i visited a gastroenterologist, he had all types of test done on me like ultrasound scan of abdomen & pelvis, stool analysis and blood test and found nothing abnormal and he concluded that I was afraid of going to the college and that I am lying to my parents). I think all these problems are caused by my upper back. I have also visited a neurologist. But these doctors doesn't understand the problems. They just see the reports (which doesn't show any abnormality) and write me some tablets which doesn't work. I am unable to go to school because of my stomach problems, when I am far away from a toilet I feel anxious because I feel like I need to use the bathroom all the time. I have decided to quit school and study from home but I am not able to concentrate. What type of doctor should I visit to solve these types of problems?

Your problem is in your gut, if you heal your gut your brain body connection will be re-established.
Irritable bowel syndrome when chronic can give several problems like biopsychosocial factors.
Nutrition therapy can be a better solution for you which is alone sufficient to heal and rejuvenate your gastrointestinal system.

Good luck!
