Cetirizine Health Feed

Asked for male, 29 years old from Hyderabad

I am a male 29 years old, suffering from cold and mild fever for 3 days taken dolo 650 and cetirizine (okacet cold) and now I feel that fever is increased eyes are so hot and changed my medicines to mahacef 200 and wikoryl. Can I continue these medicines for 2 days to get relief soon. Please give me your advice doctor.

Please measure your temparature, and make a chart. You need some investigations as well, but if you started antibiotics you should at least take it for 3 days.

Hello doctor my baby girl is 22 months old. She is having severe cold (running nose) nd little cough also. Since 4 days I am giving her wikoryl 3 ml thrice a day and cetzine 3 ml twice a day. And also giving naselin nasal drop. But not relieved yet. Kindly suggest me thank u.

it's viral infection so continue cetirizine syp and wikoryl as it will take 3to4 days more to recover.
If kid is active and playful then nothing to worry.

Yes it does help you even if you have fever, but only if cough is dry, but if the cough has phlegm then you will need an antibiotic.

No need to take any medicines before taking vaccine.
After taking vaccine, to reduce pain you can take paracetamol
if developing fever, can continue paracetamol.

Smaller doses of cetzine is safe but larger doses will causes lower milk supply and drowsiness which can cause harmful effects baby also.

Hello doctor. My baby girl is 1.5 years old she is having cold running nose since 4 days I am giving her calpol 5 ml and cetzine 2.5 ml and an antibiotic gudcef. But still not relieved. So I have switched the antibiotic from gudcef to augmentin duo 5 ml. Pls suggest she has running nose still.

Seasonal flu (common cold) is a viral infection. It normally takes 5-6 days & sometimes even longer to go away. Antibiotics have no effect on it. So, have patience. your child isn't a guinea pig, so don't keep changing antibiotics on your own. Contact a pediatrician if needed.
