From morning I am having sore throat, inflamed pharynx but no inflames tonsils. But the swelling is way too much accompanied by redness and pain while eating and in normal condition also plus I have mild fluctuating fever somewhere between 97 & 100. General physician has recommended cefprozil 500 in the morning but ENT doctor said that it won't work so he recommended cefuroxime axetil 650. What should I take now?

This is what happens when you consult many doctors. Both antibiotics are second generation cephalosporins, work towards different bacteria. It is always advisable to take antibiotics which covers most of bacteria which can cause pharyngitis. Kindly take one of the antibiotic. Complete the course. Along with do Betadine mouth wash twice daily for a week.

Dear Lybrate User, your daughter's ige is on higher side, but diagnosis of asthma can be confirmed only by pft / spirometery test (performed by pulmonologist)
it would be best if you can consult a pulmonologist in person, if nort possible please get a cbc esr also done and consult on Lybrate wishing your daughter a speedy recovery.

Till now sometime I have pain in my left side of abdomen and lower back right side some time, previously when I went to doctor they said me it was infection and prescribe me cefuroxime, uriliser, urispas as I previously feel burning sensation sometime and sometime very less urine come and have back pain and pain in lower abdomen and sometime I vomit also and feel full stomach but now I don't feel like that but have to go for urination many time and have pain a little in lower abdomen and back what should I do. It looks that you had some urinary infection along with gastro symptoms. If you have got some investigation please send me reports to find out whether it's only uti or gastritis also.

I had genital warts so i'm hpv positive. I took my urine today for urinalysis with hopes that they won't find out the hpv in my urine but they said it had infection and they needed to culture it so I should come back for results. They prescribed doncinat (cefuroxime axetil 500) to me and said I should do another urinalysis after I finish the drug which is for 5 days. I just want to know if in the process of them culturing it will they find out i'm hpv positive?

I have pulmonary tuberculosis and I'm taking doing now. Lately I have a feeling that I have uti because whenever I pee it hurts and one time there's a blood and I went to the hospital. I'm now also taking cefuroxime because that's what the doctor said and I noticed that my urine was not orange colored. Every day when I take the tb drugs whenever I pee it's orange first but now it's not. What could have happened? Is the tb drugs not working because of antibiotic?

Orange urine is due to TB drug intake, which shoild not be effected by antibiotic intake. Can be due to good water intake.

I am 24 year old with weight 140 kg. From last three years I am suffering from lumps on skin. It all started with keloid on my chest near sternum after that I suffered from cellulitis under the front part of my neck then I got lumps behind my neck.
