Dear doctor: We lost our baby due to the diagnosis of HLHS at 6th month of pregnancy. The pregnancy was terminated on 30/03/17. Now, my wife is experiencing problems with lactation and is still lactating, having pain and firmness in the breasts. Sometimes, getting severe fevers. Doctor prescribed cabergoline tablets. Is it safe to take it? Any other ways are there to suppress lactation and get rid of these problems? This is our first baby. Heard that medications will suppress the lactation completely and there will be no milk production for the next baby. So, we are worrying about it.

Have a normal menstrual cycle of 28-30 days. I have periods for 3 days and just spotting on 4th and 5th day. One or two days before period I get very light spotting. I have pain in abdomen back which is on and off throughout the cycle. On investigation my TSH came 4.9 with normal T4 and prolactin was also 27.4. Ultrasound of lower abdomen was normal. Both the ovaries were normal in size. Endometrium size was also normal. No free fluid was in POD and there was a follicle of 18 mm. The ultrasound was done on 14th day of my menstrual cycle. Then doctor prescribed me primosa 1000 and cabergoline .25. It's been three weeks now since I am taking the above medicine. For the last 3 months I am trying to conceive. I am 31 year old. Are there any chance to conceive this month. Either yes or no. Want to know the reason of the same.

Shown to gynecologist later ws stared in Diane 35 and cabergoline (for high prolactin) .did n MRI brain for high prolactin shows mild bulging 3 mm .now I am married since 1 1/2 years planned of getting pregnant but Din work out. I am a 32 year old female. I have been trying to conceive from last 3 years. I have pcos and breast secretion. I have undergone hsg, laparoscopy for the tubes and reports have been fine with no abnormalities. Also mri of brain was done to rule out tumour. Thankfully that too was negative. This month it was my second iui cycle iui done on 1st. But still I see breast discharge from my right breast on squeezing it (8 feb). I am also taking progesterone for 10 days stating 13th day of my cycle (2 days post iui). I am really tensed to have experienced that. Although m taking cabergoline .5 mg weekly. The symptoms still persist. Please advice if this would prevent me getting pregnant with cos+ iui. Why the breast discharge still persists.

hopefully your prolactin levels are under control since you are on caberlin. if you are ovulating, your chances of conceiving with iui are around 15% in one cycle .

you need to continue the cabergoline for microproalctinoma so that your menstrual cycles continue to be regular. I need more details regarding the hypothyroidism whether it was due to the pituitary problem or whether it was an independent thyroid gland problem. I would suggest that you take an online consultaion to sort out the issues.
Now that you are 21, it may not be possible to do anything about the height but we can help you with the other problems

Continue cabergoline for withdrawal bleeding you should take some hormonal medication and to ruleout pcod some more tests are required.

Hi! The medicine you are taking its to correct your prolactin levels... This in turn will correct your menstrual irregularities so now you should have regular menses every month.. So you should get periods while you are still taking medicine.

Or will I have any problem please suggest.

Hey. Relax. If you will take stress it will be difficult for you to conceive. Yes you can conceive. No doctor can assure you or can tell you dat you gona face a problem in future. Trust your gynecologist and keep trying.

Mostly you will conceive but pls combine with follicular monitoring and timed intercourse for better success as your husband had come for a shorter period of stay with you
