Hi, Lybrate user, you need to monitor your weight that triggers your bp, up.
Bp level in between 140/80 is almost, normal, hence, amlodepine of 2.5 mg is supposed to be adequet, instead of 5 mg.
However, final decision of your health provider is valuable, hence, consultation with your doctor be needed to reschedule the medication, if, required. Tk, care.

Your father have hypertension. Hypertension over long term can cause secondary complications. You should get some workup done atleast once a year. Cbc, rft, rbs, ecg, echo, fundus, these are some bare minimum. If you had it done you can send me the reports, I will review. Now for treatment, telmisartan is really good drug. As you r already having hypertension (though under control with medicines, you should b careful while using skin related chemical compounds. I would advise you to see any homoeopathic expert for your skin problem, where the treatment will b based on symptomatically, so you can get better results, I hope.
