I am a 22 year old female currently taking doses for thyroid (62. 5 mg) and cabgolin 0.5 for high prolactin. I am actually facing a lot of hair fall issues and a bit of breast pain. Is it because of cabgolin or should I get my thyroid tested? I also have pcod but I am not taking any pills for it. I was actually facing hair fall issue before a few months when my gynecologist advised me to get a hormonal test. My tsh was normal, just haemoglobin was below 12 and prolactin was 60. Then I went to a endocrinologist who told me to get a prolactin peg precipitation in which my result was 110. So then I started taking cabgolin 0.5 twice a week for 8 weeks. I am still taking it. My testosterone level was normal. What can be the reason behind the major hair fall and the breast pain? Please help me out.

Recheck your prolactin levels and husband's semen analysis. Sometimes, you may take more time to conceive, it is normal.

I am 30 years old. Delivered baby boy in May 16, in mid June 16 was operated for breast abscess. I stopped feeding baby for 15 days post which when I tried to resume breastfeeding many times but he refused to take. Also I was given few doses if cabgolin for speedy recovery. Currently baby is on FM, wish to resume BF.

u had breast abscess which means u werent feeding properly.
u need proper training and try to feed baby patiently. this will help u in resuming lactation.

I am taking cabgolin0. 25 tablet for 4 days 1 in each day because of my Dr. said I have huge breast engorgement and breast pain and I have 1 n half month baby girl and now is 2 weeks but me can not feed my baby because I do not getting breast milk when I get back or its dry up I want to feed my baby.

Cabgolin is only the causes of dried breast milk so stop this tab if your previous problem is solved, there are many method to reduce breast engorgement and breast pain ,so try them otherwise by using these pills breast gland does not secrete breast milk, consult in chat box for more detail.

It’s better to avoid taking cabgolin for now and also meet your neurologist for other medication dosage adjustments to avoid side effects.

I have pcod and did not have my periods for 4 months. I consulted a games and she prescribed cabgolin for 5 weeks. She also advised me to take susten 300 in case the periods do not start on time. My periods have not started on time. I wanted to know the dosage of the tablet as I have lost my prescription.

My prolactin levels are 48.25. I've been suffering from pcod for over 10 years now. Should I be taking cabgolin 0.25 for this? Or should I wait and see if it reduces on it's own? I've been making diet and lifestyle changes but nothing seems to work as of now. I take vitamin e, b6, inositol, vitamin d, nac and vitamin c as of now. Not taking birth control pills anymore but I used to take them earlier.

Hello!
kindly check your tsh levels. A mild increase in tsh can cause prolactin to increase. So if thyroid is treated, prolactin will automatically come down. You need not treat it separately.
