No. Now do blood for serum prolactin level. If it is higher than normal level, you should continue it for some more days.

I am 22 year old girl. I took pcod pills from 2017-2018 and then joined gym leaving pills behind but then again during the location in 2020, I started taking pcod pills till february 2021. Then I stopped it and went to the gym and did cycling again. I was having hair fall even after that so I consulted my gynaecologist and she told me to get my hormones tested and visit an endocrinologist. I got my hormones tested everything was normal except prolactin which was 60. I went to the doctor and he gave me another prolactin test peg after precipitation which came 110. So he then recommended me to do an mri. But since again I have a lockdown now and everything's closed. My family doctor told me to continue my pcod pills as prolactin can also get high due to pcod. So I started taking regestrone cr 10 mg and normoz since last 3-4 days and after 2 days from starting the pills, I started having breast tenderness. I consulted an online doctor and he told me to have cabgolin 0.5 twice a week for 8 weeks as this breast tenderness generally happens for high prolactin and also can happen as a side effect to regestrone cr. What should I do? This breast tenderness is very discomforting. Please help, please.

If you are apprehensive about taking the cabergoline, you can try some home remedies like ice pack or hot fomentation and wearing a sports bra. If still not relieved, then take the cabergoline. Continue excercises at home, take a balanced diet along with the pills. Get an mri done once the lockdown is lifted.

To help with Pcos and high insulin levels, you also need to consider carbs I take. Make sure along with good amount of fruits and veggies, consume complex carbs like oats, ragi, bran, husked pulses as well. This will keep your insulin under check and you will not feel tired easily. Regular exercise further help you in weight reduction.

High prolactin levels may cause infertility. Another term for high prolactin levels is hyperprolactinemia. Women who are not pregnant and are not breastfeeding should have low levels of prolactin. If a non-pregnant woman has abnormally high levels of prolactin, it may cause her difficulty in becoming pregnant.
Causes of high prolactin levels
1. Hypothyroidism
2. PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome)
3. Stress
So if your PCOS, prolactin are controlled, you should be able to conceiv...more

Hi lybrate-user.
Miliana is a contraceptive. It will prevent a conception. Also 42 prolactin is not so very high so the dose of cabergolin need not be 0.5
I need to see all your reports and would need a detailed history as well.
Amh is still ok .do not worry so much. U shall conceive soon if the right therapy is followed. U can contact me if you are keen to discuss further details.
