My son had continues fever. From 24 hours. One of my known nurse (frnd) given gentamicin but half quantity in the 2 ml bottle. My son age 10 years weight 26 kgs. Is this ok. R any problem mam.

inj to be given two times a day for three to five days. OR

Test reports on 5July 17- HB1A- 7.6, ABG- 170, TSH- 1.12, T3- 96, T4- 11.2, total Cholesterol- 156, LDL- 77, at present fasting BG-101, PP BG~ 136. Should I take above doses? Have I to take these medicines lifelong? Can I live healthy without medicine? Now I have no any physical problem.

Hi, Let me brief you about the situation, I have tight foreskin on my penis, I cannot retract the foreskin all the way when I have an erection. I can pull the foreskin back when my penis is not erect. I believe a small part of the foreskin has to be attached at the bottom of the penis so I don't know if that attachment is stopping me to retract the skin all the way. But any way after I got the answer I was told to apply a Betamethasone cream 0.05%. So now the problem is I bought a cream name "Diprovate plus" which is composed of Betamethasone Dipropionate IP equivalent to Betamethasone 0.05% w/w and Zinc sulphate IP 0.50% w/w. I believe you guys know all about the cream but I just wanted to be 100% sure that it won't harm my penis in any manner. As we all know we don't have any spare one to use if something had to happen to this one. So can anyone please tell me if its okay to apply the cream to my penis, is there anything I need to worry about, if I can apply it how do I apply, where to apply, what happens if I accidentally apply it on the head of the penis. How many times do I apply the cream and when? I don't know if I asked everything but if you think I missed anything please let me know everything about it so that I can go ahead and start using the cream! Thank you in advance.

If you have any cuts or small injury on your penis then wait until it gets fully healed.

Just apply a little bit of the cream at the point where your foreskin is attached at the bottom of penis & follow the instructions which you got in your previous message

Hello Dr. I am suffering from frequent mouth ulcers. Everytime general physician prescribe Tab. Vitamin c forte Tab. Folic acid Tab. Betamethasone Three times a day. Always my mouth ulcers are gone with this medicine. Bt after few days some ulcers come on another place in mouth. I am suffering from this condition for last 1or 2 years. please prescribe me that medicine that would treat my ulcers permanent. please help.

You are getting frequent ulcers as you may be deficient in these vitamins it can also be due to stress and reduced water intake.
You can continue with tab vit c and folic acid for a couple of months once a day.

I am 34 month pregnant with twins through ivf. My doctor told me to take dexamethasone injections of 12 mg x 3 shots in 12 hours gap. I have heard that it’s steroid injections and only 2 shots are to be taken as more shots can harm the babies so I am worried to take 3 shots .can any doctor suggest me that what should I do? Even want to ask that between dexamethasone and Betamethasone which injection is more safe for babies?

Yes they are steroids and yes they have harmful effects.. but in this condition to develop the babies fast enough it might have been prescribed....
My advise is to trust your doctor... but if you have doubts then consult another gynecologist with all your case details...

Don't worry both are safe but betamethasone is better. It is for your Better because twin pregnancy has chance of premature delivery. This inj help in lung maturity of fetus.

Hello Dr. I have jock itch for the past 5 years. Took medicines for fungal infection fluconazole, candid b, triben b, econazine, betamethasone average and nothing cured. I noticed that there are small bumps in the scrotum and each of these bumps are creating tingling that makes itching worse. Please advise.

Wash the area regularly with soap, and dry the area thoroughly after bathing. Applying baby powder around your groin can also be helpful for preventing excess moisture. Avoid tight-fitting clothing as that can further increase your risk of jock itch.

please provide full history, since how long, what's the range, any other symptoms.
Long duration fever need full investigation.
Don't take betamethsone, it's a steroid and has many side effects.
