I am 34 month pregnant with twins through ivf. My doctor told me to take dexamethasone injections of 12 mg x 3 shots in 12 hours gap. I have heard that it?s steroid injections and only 2 shots are to be taken as more shots can harm the babies so I am worried to take 3 shots .can any doctor suggest me that what should I do? Even want to ask that between dexamethasone and Betamethasone which injection is more safe for babies?

Yes they are steroids and yes they have harmful effects.. but in this condition to develop the babies fast enough it might have been prescribed.... My advise is to trust your doctor... but if you have doubts then consult another gynecologist with all your case details...
