Mr. Lybrate-user, to reduce uric acid following foods should be avoided: red meat, organ meats. Certain sea foods - sardines, salmons, scallops, trout, herring, shell fish, haddock, mussels & mushrooms. Avoid sweetened aerated drinks, high fat milk products & alcohol. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, skimmed milk, low fat foods and fruits. Overall protein intake should be less.
