Most often it's viral infection. Fever usually settles down in 3 to 4 days. Cough takes 7 to 10 days. Continue same treatment. Small children get frequent infections because of low immunity.

Viral fever stains immunity after one attacks but existence of very many virus types and subtypes with similar signs and symptoms that it look to be recurrence. Antibiotics have no role in viral treatment. You can give fever drugs and cold drugs for few days. Please look after diet at home to be given in small but four times. Fruits also will help.
