Hello Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. The glucose values are absolutely fine. So there is no reason to change any treatment. Fasting glucose is quite low, any value lower than that can cause hypoglycemia. Otherwise present medication is quite good. Please check his serum creatinine and urea as well as microalbuminuria to know kidney function status. There is no mention f his weight and height, extent of exercise and dietary pattern. Those details are equally important. ...more

Dear Lybrateuser, - The pain if not controlled by medication will require further investigation & your treating cardiologist would decide if she requires angioplasty or bypass - she should follow a heart healthy diet with more of fibrous food like vegetables & fruits, whole grains, beans, legumes, nuts
- she should be regular in her exercise schedule as given by the doctor.

Mr Gopalkrishnan, Thanks for the query.
One of the most common long term complications of long standing diabetes is erectile dysfunction. This happens even when blood glucose is fairly well controlled. But is glucose levels are not in proper control then ED tends to happen quite early. This is due to the microvascular damage in penile muscles. Once the damage sets in it is unlikely to reverse. There are certain drugs like PDE - IV inhibitors which can be helpful. But maintaining strict gluco...more

TGL 206 mg is not really needing any treatment. Secondly unless actual TSH level is mentioned it is difficult give an opinion about that. Usually treatment of hypothyroidism has to be continued for lifetime. As regards borderline diabetes, if your HbA1c% is 6.5, then there is definite diabetes, which needs to be treated with appropriate drugs, diet control and exercise. Thanks.
