inhaled salbutamol is recommended than oral syrup for their side effects. Pressurized metered dose inhaler (pmdi) asthalin can be given with a spacer and face mask, if not relieved pmdi budesonide with salbutamol 100 mcg is better, 1 puff whenever cough occurs. Can be repeated in 15 minutes if no relief, step up with two puffs if no relief. Techniques of pmdi with space can be seen in youtube video by typing the brand name and ...more

I think you have wrong information about lung inflammation .ask your treating doctor about the prescribed medication. Ibuprofen and other oral anti-inflammatory medication (except steroids) have no role in asthma.

I have asthma from last 2-3 years (that's what I discovered when I continuously do coughing in a sudden weather change). I took budetrol 200 for 1 month and then I looked homeopathy solutions instead of taking inhalers for a very long time (i'm 33 running) have been taking homeopathy medicine from almost 2 months now but many of the times I need to take inhaler once a day. (currently I am taking salbutamol sulphate rotacaps 200 mcg) I want to know is this ever curable? Is there any test to know the trigger agent (food/atmosphere/etc.)? Is there any exercise that I do permanently long time and it helps to always control and I do not feel the need of taking inhalers to breathe properly? Is there any surgery or something else? I feel practically its very tough to take care of yourself from the precautionary measures to be taken (like do not eat this/do not stay in ac/do not go to cold weather/etc.)

Hello, for asthma treatment there are two types of medication, controller and reliver.
Controller is to be taken regularly to avoid exacerbation and reliver is to be taken only during emergency purpose. Asthalin is a reliver.
So to get your asthma in control you need to get yourself checked from a chest physician and start a proper controller therapy.
If you feel the need to take asthalin once a day meaning other treatments are clearly not working! tc.

Asthalin is safe in most of the conditions, but if your need for asthalin is thrice daily for longer duration, then you need to take a proper consultation with a chest physician, who will in turn diagnose severity of your asthma and tailor treatment accordingly. Such long term use of asthalin without any other medication is going to worsen your condition.
