Just switching on from one medicine to another randomly may not help. Meet your cardiologist, get a complete evaluation done including ecg echo renal doppler, thyroid profile, serum electrolytes, s. Urea, s creatinine. Let him find out the cause for your uncontrolled hypertension and then only can a decision to change medicines can be made.

Start walking daily for 40-45 minutes. Drink a lot of water. Cut down on intake of salty or fried food. Junk food and processed foods should be avoided. One should take raw vegetables and fruits daily. Yoga and pranayamas are very effective in bringing blood pressure levels to normal.
For maintaining bp to normal homoeopathic treatment plays best role. No side effects.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details given, however, everything is very general. There is no specific information like actual BP readings, blood glucose readings (fasting & Pp) and HbA1c%. Usually antihypertensive drugs do not increase the blood glucose levels. It is possible that current treatment is not adequate. Plus one has to look at your diet and exercise too. Thanks.

You should ideally take the advise of your doctor so that proper precautions can be taken to avoid complications or drug interactions. It is also better to focus on eating habits and exercising ( including yoga ) everyday. Read about healthy lifestyle changes which can bring the sugar levels in good control in the long run.
