Mr Iqbal, 100 g rice, apple, orange all this OK, provided your blood sugar levels are in control. You are on Insulin 30/70, 18 units twice a day plus is there any other oral anti diabetes drug ? Ayurvedic drugs could be just a supportive therapy. If diabetes is in control then fasting should be closer to 100 mg and PP should be around 150 to 170 mg and HbA1c% should be <7%. Hello, It is difficult to comment as no blood glucose values have been mentioned. Ideally when diabetes is well controlled fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% <6.8, If these kind of levels are maintained, then one would rarely get up for passing urine at night.
Secondly are you only on Glargine or are there any oral drugs for controlling glucose? Because in T2 DM (if you are T2 DM patient) usually along with Insulin oral d...more

To control blood glucose effectively apart from medication (Insulin) patient also has to follow a strict diet control. Avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, bakery items and food made from maida. Plus match her intake based on ideal body weight, extent of daily exercise and blood glucose levels. If the quantity of drink in 1 peg is 30 ml means 60 ml a day and you always maintained this and you have normal sugar levels and you feel comfortable with this then please continue.
