I have horrible back pain. I have been perceived very very strong pain medication and it does nothing. I have been on codeine, tramadol, hydrocodone, morphine, dilaudid, oxycodone, buprenorphine, and hydromorphone. Nothing works. I have been given that medication by pills, shots and i.v's. I have been on 4 32 mg of hydromorphone and it does nothing for me in fact I don't even feel an side effects. This medication should knock out an elephant but it does nothing at all for my pain. Medication that should bring a 400lbs to the ground does not even effect me and 160lbs woman. I don't take the medication regularly so it should help with my pain but nothing. I'm also on 30 mg of diazepam and that to does nothing for me. I feel like i'm going to be looked at as a drug seeker. That could not be any further from the truth. I just want pain relief. I can't explain why my body just does not respond properly to any drugs. I'm really at a loss right now. My pain is so bad I can't roll over in bed and when it spikes I can't breathe.

Dear sir/madam I am a 40 year old male doctor who have had asymptomatic cervical spondylosis at multiple levels until june last year when after few heavy books fell on my head. Soon after bilateral pains radiated into both arms. The next 4-5 months were hell with pain, numbness, parasthesias and all that. I could not sleep at all. As it was improving on jan 26 2015 as I went to bed I started with head tremors all of a sudden. The tremors were like a storm with high frequency and large amplitude. They were mostly side to side with occassional neck flexions. There was however variation in amplitude. I took clonazepam 0. 5mg + propranolol 20 mg once the next morning, then again at 6 pm, followed by 2mg trihexiphenydyl at 10 pm and then at around 1 am during the second night I took diazepam iv. And then in the morning the tremors stopped completely after about 36 hours. Since then I am feeling occassional tremors that are barely noticeable. I am a known case of ocd and was on fluoexteine when the tremors first happened. I stopped fluoxetine that very day. I am currently on mirtazipine 15 mg. Mri brain is normal while cs shows disc bulges at c4 - c8 with foraminal compromise. Please let me know what I am going through.

Meniere's disease is an inner ear disease that typically affects one ear. This disease can cause pressure or pain in the ear, severe cases of dizziness or vertigo, hearing loss and a ringing or roaring noise, also known as tinnitus. Drugs for motion sickness or nausea may help manage symptoms. Your doctor may prescribe medications to take during a vertigo episode to lessen the severity of an attack: motion sickness medications, such as meclizine or diazepam (valium), may reduce the spinning sens...more

Dear lybrate-user,
please consult a psychiatrist now. Your anxiety may be due to hormonal, medical, neurological causes. After proper diagnosis, the appropriate treatment will be prescribed. Apart from valium, there are other anxiolytic short acting tablets and non medical methods of managing anxiety.

Dear Sanjeev,
No medicine is safe for all the persons taking it. We have to weigh the benefit vs safety.
Having said that, the diazepam is not very safe in the long run. It is NOT an antidepressant tablet. It is prescribed to reduce your anxiety and make your muscles to relax. Whereas fluoxetine is better if it has beneficial effects on you. Please discuss with your doctor.

Yes, the medical shops are true and it is also not good to take it just like that. Consult a psychiatrist and get proper medication.

how long have you taken the medication, if taken for 2-4 weeks and still no response, you can consult him one more time, if still no improvement, then go for second opinion. All the best.
