If you have taken only for a short time you can stop. You can taper by cutting one. After 4-5 days, reduce further. Start other measures to control anxiety such as relaxation, CBT for changing thoughts causing anxiety. All this takes time so meet a good therapist once a week for 2-3 months who is trained in all this

Anxit (alprazolam) can be used for emergency for anxiety. If the symptoms are present on most of the days continuously, you need to consult a psychiatrist and get your anxiety/ depression evaluated and may need a course of safe daily medications. Anxit should never be taken daily. Long term it can cause serious problems like early dementia, cognitive changes, personality changes, even withdrawal seizures, all the best.
