Hello, thanks for the query.
High blood pressure is a separate condition, hypothyroidism does not precipitate or increase the bp. Since you are already on treatment with amlodepine 5 mg, it is possible that the dosage of that drug is not enough to control it as of now. You may have to either increase the dose or add another compound. In relation to hypothyroidism it is necessary to maintain tsh around 3 to 4 mu/l. Thanks.

CRP is considered as marker of inflamation Usually it is less than 1 g/L.If between 1 and 3 it is considered as moderately inreased risk of heart disease and if more than 3 there is high risk, But it alone is not onsidered as a risk factor for heart dissease in absene of other known risk fators like Hypertension, diabetes, smoking, inreasing age, high cholesterole, obesity, family history of heart disease.

Hi,
Yes Amtas AT is a more powerful antihypertensive than Metoprolol XL.
Amtas AT contain combination of 2 salts.
Metro XL has just a salt.
So I guess you must be having high BP even on Metro XL and that is why he changed to the new drug.

You have not mentioned how long your baby is having diaper rash. Diaper rash is fungal if there are lots of spots near the border of the rash called satellite lesions. This may need antifungal creams. Passing urine and stools on a rash is very painful for the baby and so you have to use a lot of barrier creams like ezinapi or rashfree cream in spoonfuls, and not just a little bit. This has to be done every time you change the diaper. If the child is in lot of pain, you can give paracetamol. Plea...more
