I presume he underwent prostate surgery for benign enlargement and cancer was detected incidentally. Hopefully an MRI and bone scan was done for staging to confirm that its a localised disease. If it is in normal range. You can hold it for a couple of days, and check your BP, if BP still remains normals hen you can stop. If it increases consult your treating doctors. For precautions- start brisk walking daily for 40-45 mins, Eat a healthy diet, avoid high salted foods like namkeens, papad, pickles etc, quit smoking, decrease the amount of caffeine you take.
