Sir I am Amit .i am 28 years old. I do not have beard. Please tell me how to grow beard.
Hi Beard is purely genetic make up. It could be a pituitary issue, hair follicle or their lack of, or could possible even be genetics. To make hair grow you need to stimulate, moisturize, and cleanse. Use a soft bristle scrub brush for the face and use circular motions using a eucalyptus, menthol, and/or peppermint type cleanser or lotion. The invigoration of the brush and cleanser/moisturizer will wake up that hair follicles and gives them a signal to produce.

Saurabh Chaudhary Proves Nothing Is Impossible with Right Focus and Dedication!

MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery

Saurabh Chaudhary Proves Nothing Is Impossible with Right Focus and Dedication!

The 16 years old Saurabh Chaudhary from Kalina village, Meerut has turned into a national sensation. By winning gold in 10 meters Air Pistol, he has created a 240.7 points record at the Asian Games 2018, being held in Jakarta & Palembang, Indonesia.

Saurabh Chaudhary was followed by Tomoyuki Matsuda in the 2nd position, who is the 2010 World Champion from Japan, and Abhishek Verma in the 3rd position, a 29-year-old Indian, who made a debut in this Asian Games.

After winning the Gold, Saurabh said that he did not feel any kind of pressure, as he was there just to compete and do his best. He also added that he has trained hard for this and has been giving good results constantly because of that.

Saurabh Chaudhary’s Achievements

This is not Saurabh Chaudhary’s only achievement. He has been setting records since he started his shooting career. He recently made a junior record of 243.7 points in Shooting at the ISSF Junior World Cup 2018, held at Suhl, Germany. He also qualified for the Youth Olympics Games with a record and a gold medal. Saurabh is also training hard for Olympics 2020, which is going to be held in Tokyo, Japan.

His History

Saurabh Chaudhary belongs to a farmer family. It all started with liking for toy guns. Saurabh started training for shooting just few years back in 2015 at Amit Sheoran's Academy, located in Binauli, which is near Baghpat and around 53 kms from Meerut.

As told by Saurabh, he likes to spend time with his parents and also likes farming a lot. Whenever he is free, he spends time with his family and in farming.

How Saurabh Achieved Gold in the Asian Games 2018?

Saurabh Chaudhary was able to achieve all the name and fame because of his dedication and rigorous training. He has been training regularly since 2015 to be where he stands right now. But, how was it all possible at a tender age of 16 years?

Teenage is a very critical stage of a person’s life. The brain tends to lose focus and concentration at this age very much, and one needs to be dedicated enough to reach such a stringent goal. Saurabh’s dedication towards shooting paid off and finally the whole nation knows him for his achievement.

How to gain Concentration and Focus during Teenage?

Even though there is no lack of motivation or lack of resources - concentrating, focusing, and staying determined towards a goal becomes difficult for curious teenage minds. Although curiosity is good, staying focused on their goal can take them places.

Here are some basic tips on staying focused and dedicated towards a goal:

  • Eat healthy, Stay fit: A fit body is a gateway to a healthy and focused mind. And for this, including healthy food in diet, such as green veggies and fruits is necessary.

  • Make a routine and Plan the day ahead: Teenagers should follow a routine to carry out daily activities. Also, before sleeping, planning things out for the next day helps a lot.

  • Do not waste time: Time is the most valuable thing, and one must not waste it on distractions. Occasional games and sports breaks are necessary though.

  • Rest is necessary for teens: It’s always a bad idea to constantly be engaged with activities. Taking a break to rest, and sometimes a nap helps to gather energy back. After the break, starting with practice is the best way to go.

  • Get Ample Sleep: Dedication should not come at the cost of sleep deprivation. A teenager needs around 8-10 hours of sleep every day.

Saurabh Chaudhary has put up a milestone for all the teenagers out there with not only his talent but also with the level of focus and concentration to achieve his goals. This proves that anything is achievable with enough dedication.

Headache is one of the most frequently encountered problem

Headache is one of the most frequently encountered problem

Headache is one of the most frequently encountered problem at a clinic. Even questions at lybrate are mostly studded with this symptom.
More often than not, headaches are self limiting and without a serious medical problem. But any chronic headache needs proper evaluation for definitive therapy.
Grossly, headaches can be divided into primary (no definite structural lesion in brain) or secondary (associated with changes).
Any headache, if associated with vomiting without nausea, visual disturbance or nerve deficit (new onset squint, double vision, loss of sensation anywhere, facial deviation amongst many) may indicate secondary headache, but exceptions are there. These require immediate attention to rule out life threatening disease.
Commonest primary headache is tension type headache all of us have felt at certain times. Often it is like a band pressing around forehead. Common analgesics manage them well but for recurrent problem, we might prescribe prophylactic drug.
Migraine is something very common presenting as pain in one half of head with vomiting, nausea, visual or auditory aura. They require immediate analgesic like acetaminophen and prophylaxis with propranolol or amitriptyline.
Cluster headache, as the name suggests, comes in cluster for few days and more common in male. Oxygen has been proven as effective treatment.
Trigeminal neuralgia is more sharp, lanceolating pain, but responds satisfactorily to carbamazepine.
Sinusitis, in frontal bone presents as headache more around 10am in the morning that requires therapy with antihistamines and antibiotics occasionally.
Therefore' headache' carries little value unless it is described in detail to ensure proper therapy.

Herpes Zoster

MBBS, DHMS-Harvard, Masters in Clinical Dermatology
Dermatologist, Chandigarh
Herpes Zoster

Herpes zoster or Shingles is a viral infection that causes a painful rash. Although shingles can occur anywhere on your body, it most often appears as a single stripe of blisters that wraps around either the left or the right side of your torso.

Shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus — the same virus that causes chickenpox. After you've had chickenpox, the virus lies inactive in nerve tissue near your spinal cord and brain. Years later, the virus may reactivate as shingles.

While it isn't a life-threatening condition, shingles can be very painful. Vaccines can help reduce the risk of shingles, while early treatment can help shorten a shingles infection and lessen the chance of complications.

The signs and symptoms of shingles usually affect only a small section of one side of your body. These signs and symptoms may include:

  • Pain, burning, numbness or tingling
  • Sensitivity to touch
  • A red rash that begins a few days after the pain
  • Fluid-filled blisters that break open and crust over
  • Itching

Some people also experience:

Pain is usually the first symptom of shingles. For some, it can be intense. Depending on the location of the pain, it can sometimes be mistaken for a symptom of problems affecting the heart, lungs or kidneys. Some people experience shingles pain without ever developing the rash.

Most commonly, the shingles rash develops as a stripe of blisters that wraps around either the left or right side of your torso. Sometimes the shingles rash occurs around one eye or on one side of the neck or face.

There's no cure for shingles, but prompt treatment with prescription antiviral drugs can speed healing and reduce your risk of complications. These medications include:

Shingles can cause severe pain, so your doctor also may prescribe:

  • Capsaicin topical patch
  • Anticonvulsants, such as gabapentin
  • Tricyclic antidepressants, such as amitriptyline
  • Numbing agents, such as lidocaine, delivered via a cream, gel, spray or skin patch
  • Medications that contain narcotics, such as codeine
  • An injection including corticosteroids and local anesthetics

Shingles generally lasts between two and six weeks. Most people get shingles only once, but it is possible to get it two or more times.

Things To Know About Spinal Stenosis Treatment!

Sexologist, Delhi
Things To Know About Spinal Stenosis Treatment!

Spinal Stenosis is basically the narrowing of the spaces in the spine that further causes pressure on the spinal cord as well as nerves. It has been observed that nearly 75% of cases, mainly occur in the low back that requires lumbar spine treatment. The type of spinal stenosis treatments received for this problem may vary, as it totally depends on the location of the stenosis and the severity of your signs as well as symptoms.

Here are some treatments offered by a spine specialist:

1. Medications
Sometimes, medications are prescribed by spine physicians to control the pain associated with spinal stenosis. Some of the common medicines prescribed are mentioned below.

• NSAIDs (Onsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that help to ease the pain and reduce the inflammation. These mainly include ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others) and naproxen (Aleve), that are easily available without prescription.

• Muscle relaxants help to calm the muscle spasms that occasionally occur and these medicines includes cyclobenzaprine (Amrix, Fexmid).

• Antidepressants like amitriptyline are recommended to be given as tricyclic nightly doses to ease chronic the pain.

• Anti-seizure drugs are commonly used to reduce pain caused by damaged nerves and these medicines include names like gabapentin (Neurontin, Gralise, Horizant) and pregabalin (Lyrica).

2. Therapy
People suffering from stenosis tend to become less active to reduce the pain caused by physical activities. This further leads to weakness in the muscles that is even more painful. Therefore a physiotherapist teaches some exercises to build up the strength, maintain stability as well as flexibility in the spine and improvement in maintaining balance.

3. Steroid injections
Because of this ailment nerve roots become a little irritated the spots that are pinched gets swollen. Thus injecting corticosteroid around that constriction that reduces the inflammation and gives relief to the pressure. Theses injections sometimes don't work for everyone and if they are repetitive, they can cause weakness in the nearby bones as well as the connective tissue. Therefore, only a few injections per year are suggested.

4. Surgery
Surgery is considered, only if the other treatments don't work or a patient is disabled by its symptoms. The main aim of a surgery is to relieve the pressure on the spinal cord or nerve roots which is done by creating more space within the spinal canal. The main examples of surgeries suggested includes Laminectomy, Laminotomy and Laminoplasty.

In most cases, these space-creating operations help in the reduction of the symptoms of spinal stenosis. But sometimes the symptoms do not fully disappear or even get worse after surgery. Surgery even includes some risks like infections, blood clot in a leg vein, neurological deterioration or even a tear in the membrane that covers the spinal cord.
