Your father seems to be in quite advanced stage of the disease. In this stage neuro-rehabilitation is very much warranted. If he has any mood issues, those need to be addressed. Kindly consult a good neuro-rehabilitation physician. At i-nk we have a good neuro-rehabilitation department.

Parkinson's disease is diagnosed clinically. Dat scan is usally to look for secondary parkinsonism and not parkinson disease. Well if you feel having symptoms to meet neurologist to optimize medications. Syndopa can be considered if your neurologist feels appropriate for further improvement.

As per diagnosis done the medicine being given by concerned specialist is best suited to situation but there's not much scope of improvement it seems. That's limitation of medical science so far.
If you agree, ayurveda medicine may be started which, in my opinion, will stop the progression of disease. But its not a short term treatment.
Vaat nashak medicines are given in this disease. It's categorised under kampvat even if there's no tremors.

Since some of your constipation is probably related to medication, you might need laxatives sometimes, but to start reducing the requirement-exercise, diet, and abdominal massage can help. You may consult me for some guidance on that. Please also share your liver function test and ultrasound so that I can assess and suggest a plan for your fatt...more
