Which antihypertensive where you taking before you got pragnant? To answer your query, nifedipine and alpha methyldopa are both safe in pragnancy. No effect on baby, not taking those medicine will hv effect on baby, high bp = less blood going to baby, not to over correct and be hypotensive as well, do not adjust dose of your antihypertensive by your self.

Your BP needs to be checked after you deliver. If it comes back to normal, you will not need any medicine. But you will require medicine if BP continues to be high.

Hey! your gestational age is 34wk+ and as yiu said your bp is high despite of oral medication and having any symptoms like pain in stomach. Blurred vision it may suggest impending preeclampsia .iã¢â€â™ll suggest you to do some lab investigations. Lft.urine analysis for protein and if levels are high than itã¢â€â™s better to deliver baby.
