About Am Dopa 500Mg Tablet

Am Dopa 500Mg Tablet falls under a category of drugs known as alpha-2 receptor agonist. It may be used on its own or in combination with other medications to treat blood pressure. It functions by widening the blood vessel allowing blood to flow more easily.

On using Am Dopa 500Mg Tablet you may experience side effects such as headache, drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, fever, numbness, slow heartbeat, enlargement of breasts, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, increase or decrease in libidinal drive and drying of the mouth. Seek medical attention immediately should you face any of the reactions stated above or any other adverse reaction.

Before using this medication inform your doctor if: you are allergic to any ingredient contained within Am Dopa 500Mg Tablet, you have any other allergies, you are taking any other medications especially monoamine oxidase inhibitor, you have liver/ kidney / blood disorders, you have anemia, you have tumors, you are pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.

The dosage should be prescribed by your doctor based on your condition. The usual dose for hypertension in adults is 250 mg orally twice/thrice daily or 250-500 by IV infusion over 30-60 minutes in gaps of 6 hours. The maximum is 3g per day.
