Hello! I would suggest that in addition to medication you can try engaging in hobbies, relaxation skills and lifestyle changes to enhance your mood. Psychotherapy might be helpful as well without the side-effects and worry of medication dosages.

We are not sure ass to why you are on agoprex and if your doctor has prescribed it, obviously it was with good intention and he is the best person for you to answer that question. Since you intend on not using it after one month, it may be reasonable to fix an appointment with your doctor to explore options. Alternatively you can also use Lybrate to take a second opinion.
Look forward to hearing from you. If you need help with booking an appointment online with me on this website either text...more

Insomnia is a sleep disorder in which a person finds it difficult to fall asleep or to stay asleep. Insomnia also includes poor sleep quality, restless sleep, waking up several times during sleep, and feeling un-refreshed or tired after waking up.  Homeopathy provides a very safe, effective and non-habit forming treatment of both types of insomnia — acute and chronic. Since the Homeopathic medicines are sourced from natural substances, there are no side-effects.

Hello,
it's great that you are open to new things and are willing to try anything to relieve anxiety. In many cases, medication alone does not help a patient. It has to be coupled with psychotherapy/counselling. And it gives great results. You may check the data all over the internet and supporting medical researches. Try therapy and I am sure, you'll be glad that you tried it.
Take care.

As I can see you are already on multiple antidepressants and that too on pretty high dose. Considering your age it would not be wise to add on any further medicine or increase dosage further. Some medicine might be changed. That needs to be done after a proper and detailed assessment. Preferably consultation by physical presence. Please try to consult some doctor in clinic or at govt. Hospital. Consultation at Lybrate is also possible but in your case I would suggest you to first try going to an...more

Hi, by the list of medications I can understand that you have tried a lot of medicines. Still your problem is not resolved. Since you are near to bangalore the best way I could suggest is visit nimhans bangalore and consult a psychiatrist and a therapist for your current problem you might need more of therapy and a different kind of antipsychotic which works for dysthymia. The medicines which you have mentioned are antidepressants and does not necessarily work in dysthymia.

I am 24 year old male. Out of excitement I tried a small (very small) edible portion of cannabis for the first time. I felt weird after few hours. My heart raced and I got scared and approached a physician. He said it is ok and gave tablet for headache. I couldn't able to sleep well at that night. I felt like my heart is going to explode and woke up multiple time to urinate just to flush it out of my body. The effects of cannabis is gone, but the pounding heart persisted for a week and I couldn't able to sleep well. Over the week the pounding heart got normal during day, but back when I lie down. I consulted a psychiatrist, he prescribed agomelatine. Now pounding heart problem got controlled even when I lie down. But I couldn't able to sleep well. I woke up 2-4 times almost everyday. I also developed anxiety because of this. I got racing thoughts in my mind, mostly negative. I feel scared of almost everything. I feel so scared at dorm. So, I came back to my home where I feel somehow safe. I took a leave of absence from my university for few weeks. Sometimes I am even scared of whether I could get good sleep or not. I am so obsessed with it right now. Sometimes I sleep for like 5-6 hrs. Yet I feel sleepless. I can't able to concentrate on anything because of this and I feel like a different person. In an article, I found that some compounds in cannabis can trigger preexisting mental conditions like anxiety disorder. I had anxiety disorder like condition before for which I took some treatment and got cured. I have not felt this anxious before. I am scared whether I am loosing control etc. What can I do further to get myself back. I need to stop racing thoughts and worries. I also want to get my sleep back before it affects my studies. Anyone who have experience in such cases please help me.
