Dear lybrate-user, Dvt is very much treatable. Kindly consult a Vascular Surgeon. You may require reimaging to check your deep veins for any new clot or extension of the earlier clots. Also kindly ensure regular PT INR blood test and maintain it in correct range when you taking blood thinner. Get well soon, Regards.

You must have had some vessel repair also along with ulnar nerve repair.
Action is generally given for thinning blood after vascular repair.
If they had used graft for repair, you need to take it for months.
So ask your surgeon.

If the thrombus is blocking there since 2015 and has not resolved, it most probably will be for life. Your doctor needs to take a call whether anticoagulant like warfarin/ACITROM should be taken or not. Have you got the work up done why you had PTE in the first place.

Hi lybrate-user
DVT at 25 years with oral pill is not a good thing. Please focus on getting the DVT rectified. The period problem can be managed differently.
Normoz is just a vitamin tablet. There is no evidence it corrects hormonal imbalance.
You can take it or stop it.
But get the DVT rectified and get back to health.
Take care.

Hi. Anticoagulants have their own side effects. They thin the blood leading to increased clotting time. So if you get an injury the time if bleeding and the time before clotting is more. Come back to me will explain you better.

He should get an venous doppler to see for resolution of dvt. If it is resolved completely then he can gradually taper and stop it.

Since you are already 44 years old, your ovarian reserve is expected to be less and your chances of conceiving are also less. Morover, since you are already on anticoagulants, even if you conceive, it will be a very high risk pregnancy. Since you already have a child, I suggest you give up the thought of going ahead with conception.
