Be sure to rule out Diabetes by just Post Lunch Blood Sugar once so that we are sure there is no diabetes leading to weight loss .If that is normal and there is no cough, fever or loss of appetite then need to meet a Doctor but if any of those things are present may need X Ray chest before treatment Take care.

Previously I was very fatty around 90 kgs. Than I went on dieting and reduced 30 kgs in 2 years. Now still I DNT eat much but my lifestyle is sedentary as I am a housewife just the household chores. I have again put on weight and came back to 83 kgs. I am also a heart patient i.e. I have went through ASD closure 7-8 years ago. But still I am not allowed to do vigorous exercise so didn't join any gym. What should I do now to lose weight? Is liposuction a safe way to get rid of these extra kgs?

Hi lybrate-user Please be assured that kids take time to assimilate what they eat as they grow body keeps changing so to help aid in his assimilation give him a mixture of dry fruits and honey, I would suggest one more thing to please avoid unnecessary vaccinations as they may affect even the brain development of the child take him outdoors to play so that he will sweat and the metabolism of the body will increase making him absorb every food that he takes making grow well. Hi my mom is having diabetes. She was on medicine. She was having Glynase -MF 1 and half tablet twice a day. But from last few days she is having a lot urine at night. She is having a loss of weight as well. If there is any cut or injury its taking a lot of time to recover and heal. We did the fasting and blood test. Test results:- Haemoglobin= 11.5 gms% = 78%(By Hellige Method) True Glucose (Fasting):- 260 mgm% We are not sure about the type of diabetes. She is herself a nurse. Help me with a suggestion what should we do? Should we do a C-peptide test first? Before taking any medication. Suggestions please.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Since she has been taking oral anti-diabetic drugs for controlling blood glucose, it has to T2 diabetes. In T1 only Insulin Injection has to be given. No other drug works. She now has an uncontrolled diabetes that is the reason for excess urination at night and weight loss, because more of glucose is being lost in the urine. She needs to achieve a strict blood glucose control with FBG < 100 mg, PP 170 to 180 mg & HbA1c% <7. That means there has to be a change in the current treatment. New drugs have to be added or Insulin may have to be started. There are other options also, but in this communication we are supposed to give general guidelines only. No prescriptions are allowed. If you are keen for improving her blood glucose levels and achieve better control, please come in a private conversation with following details: FBG, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, dietary pattern extent of exercise or physical activity, lipid profile, BP readings. Based on those details I will be able to guide specifically and help improve the condition. There is no need for C- peptide testing. Thanks.

Diet and lack of exercise are the two most important factors that contribute to obesity. Include in your daily routine fruits n salad n take 8 to12 glass of water in every day n don't take outside foods fried items .food prefer in break fast like poha, dalia; sandwich with salad n spouts.

I am 42 years female. I am feeling very tired always. I feel my bp is falling but when measured it finds normal. I always trying to lie in the bed. I hurried do all tasks and go to bed. Dear lybrate-user, You are suffering too long with depression. Don't lose hopes. 20% of depressions are treatment resistant. For those like you, psychiatrists have many treatment options. You can take a course of 6 - 9 ECTs (electroconvulsive therapy) or rTMS sessions, or CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), or you can add samE, Vitamin D3 (if it is low), thyroxine, 5HT, fish oil, etc. Your psychiatrist will be able to prescribe them for you. Please remember that these treatments are in addition to your censpram, tayo and felicita. That too in maximum dose. So far you have not gone to coma. Hi Depends on your currenct Wt& Ht your BMI it Is showing 25.1 its little bit high. High fiber, low carbs, high protein diet you can take. One more imp thing you go regular exercise. Its helping for your loose weight.

Start drinking lukewarm water first. It will be more good for you if you boil it with jeera or ajwain or daniya. Eat small meals n chew as much as you can. Do yoga n start running. Eat healthy n light like lauki Tori parwL tinda mung dal etc cooked in very less oil n make it watery. Avoid oily maida junk food. Go for virechan n udwartan process in Ayurveda.

Take high fiber low fat diet. Drink lot of water everyday. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals of 2-3 hrs. Avoid outside food completely. Do floor exercises daily. Ask me privately for customized diet plan for you.
