Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Your problem can be related to Muscular Spasm.Due to old age,lack of exercise ,your back muscles are weak and whilee in same posture during driving there is no movement for long,these muscle go into spasm.and hence you feel pain.After some movement these spasmed muscles becomes somebut mobile and hence pain reduces. This can be due to: Arthritis Fibromyalgia Thyroid problems Vitamin D and Calcium deficiency. Get blood test like CRP, Thyroid hormones, Vitamin D and calcium levels. Take a course of antiinflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen for 5 days. Calcium and vitamin D supplements if required. Start regular exercises like yoga or swimming. Also provide further details of your symptoms and consult a pain specialist.

I am a 25 year old male, met with an accident this morning. I was riding a bike which fell down on right side, shoulder and elbow are paining severely just able to move a bit, however there is a small external injury. My shoulder is not moving firmly with elbow. I have seen a doctor near by as advised by him I have to keep my arm in arm sling for a week. Can you please advise any other alternative to this as the pain is unbearable (got confirmed that this is not a fracture) Your urgent advice would be appreciated.

No movements would help now, the more you move your shoulder the more it will pain. Rest is the only advice for shoulder joint. Movements at elbow and wrist and fingers can be continued. Ice application at swelling site is preferable. Movements at shoulder can be resumed once pain has come down. Take care.

I had muscle strain while doing exercise in my left arm few years back maybe 2-3 years while doing indian push ups I heard lil bone braking sound near left elbow I showed it to a doc he said its minor as the arm was not swollen and gave me few tabs, volini spray I sprayed it, continued doing exercise like a fool for a month the pain didn't went so I switched to yoga it was better, but it still hurts if I sleep on left side (arm) in the morning for few hours & my arm is not as free as my right arm lil stiffness & pain is there. I have tried ice, nothing works.

Hi, pulls, sprains, and tears (all the same thing) range in severity. Depending on the severity of your strain, you may need to take anywhere from a few days to a few months off of exercise so that the muscle can heal itself. When you do head back to the gym, start with gentle bodyweight exercise as it help to heal better. According to information provided. Will suggest you to take break from exercises and give it relative rest and avoid lifting heavy objects or weight lifting exercise. Suggest you get it checked with orthopedician or physiotherapist. You may required x- ray. As some time hairline fracture go undiagnosed (as you heard breaking sound). Thabks and take care.

I have back pain near the waist from last two days. It started after I lifted a heavy bag. The pain is less when my spine is erect and straight, but increases if I bend towards front. I have used a lumber support belt but it helped only very little.

dear user, continue using LS belt. correct your sitting standing and sleeping posture. take physio treatment for 10 days ultrasonic therapy helps reduce pain quickly.

Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).
