In the past 2 months I gained about 15lbs but I don't see the weight anywhere on my body. Why am I not seeing the weight that I gained it is nowhere to be found on my body. I look the exact same size I was 2 months ago. I went from 96lbs to 110 or 111 lbs and I still look 96 lbs. What is causing the weight that I gained not to show. I went to see my doctor and she doesn't know why my weight isn't showing either. I don't understand what is taking so long for my weight to show. I am not trying to gain weight or lose weight. I AM SPECIFICALLY SAYING THAT I GAINED 15 LBS AND I HAVE YET TO SEE THE WEIGHT ANYWHERE ON MY BODY. WHAT IS CAUSING THE WEIGHT NOT TO SHOW AND WHERE IS THE WEIGHT AT BECAUSE IT'S NOT ON MY BODY. May be you gain weight without gaining inches or it may be fluid retention in your body. But in all conditions, you have to decrease weight because according to your height your weight is very high. Ayurveda is a renowned life science that has been credited with changing lives since ancient times. Not only can it prevent diseases and ailments, but it can also cure them with its combination of herbal medication, everyday routine and yogic poses. Weight management is a field that also enjoys various Ayurvedic remedies. Some of them are as follows.

  • Herbs: Herbs are a way of healing used by Ayurveda, and the use of various herbs can help in hastening the metabolism for healthy weight management.
  • Taste: Ayurveda recognizes six distinct tastes that should be incorporated into one's daily diet. These tastes include salty, pungent, sour, sweet, bitter and finally, astringent. Each of these tastes has several properties that balance the various hormones and health factors in one's body. These tastes form the various counterpoints to alleviate all kinds of health problems, which finally help in effective weight management. Also, one must eat all the seasonal fruits and vegetables to keep the body and hormones in good balance.
  • Exercise: While a daily routine of exercise is a must in any life science, Ayurveda too propagates the devotion of at least 45 minutes to one hour towards some form of exercise. Walking is said to be the most important and effective forms of exercise, followed by several yoga poses that can help in better weight management. Also, as per Ayurveda, it is important to move after each and every meal, so that a routine of eating and activity is built into the system.
  • Sleep: Ayurveda recognizes sleep or rest as one of the most important aspects of a healthy lifestyle. While good eating habits and exercise form one side of it, sleep or rest completes the triangle. One can also practice the Savasana or resting pose for a period of rest. Madam, poly cystic ovary is cause of iregular periods. Fsh level is 5.0miu/ml and my lh level is 7.1 miu/ml and you not over weight. So try to take ayurveda medicines which are safe for future. Pco is root of your disturbance because monthly ovulation is not occurring and levels of androgens (male hormones) in women are elevated. The condition occurs in about 5 to 10 percent of women. So be balanced and take herbal medicines like fee tone, kumaryasav twice for 6 months. For better treatment feed back soon. Ok.

Yes, you need to increase the quantity of food you eat, but at the same time you have to make sure You are eating healthy. Eat five to six meals a day. Avoid skipping any meal. Increase your portion size. Choose foods that are higher in healthy calories. Do not skip any meal, especially breakfast. Whatever you eat at breakfast is better absorbed and utilized by your system. So don’t forget to take a handful of nuts everyday along with good quality protein, like toned milk and boiled eggs. Maintain a 2 hour window between each meal so that you can feel he hunger and eat better quantities. Avoid junk foods, they provide high calories but at the same time trans fats also. There is no special diet for a person with diabetes, but certain restrictions should be followed. Like avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, white bread, other bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks and high fat milk products. Should consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits about 100 g a day. Food should include complex carbohydrates, so that sugar rise is slow. Total caloric intake has to be based on ideal body weight, extent of daily exercise and blood sugar levles. On treatment you should strive to maintain fastinf around 100 mg, pp150 to 160 mg and hba1c% 6.8. That will keep you healthy and fit plus serious complications of diabetes will be kept away. Thanks.

Yes. There is a negative on muscle growth if you do it more often. You can check it out. Stop it for 3 weeks and continue your workouts. You will feel more energetic, more motivated, less lethargic. Your blood's finest part is used for sperm formation if you use it so much of it then you are going to hamper your muscle growth. Sperm leads to precious nutrients which losses through ejaculation which were required for your body grow. So avoid ejaculating it as far as possible. Do not do it often.

My father is 52years old he is diabetic patient. He is taking medicine (Zoryl MV 1) for his diabetes from few years. Lybrate-user having pain in knee of your is nothing to do with diabetes provided their b sugar is under control - having pain in knee for 3-4 days could be linked to some un-knowing traumatic injury or strain in ligament or osteo-arthritic changes in knees - go for uric acid test / ra factor / and x-ray knee will help us in ruling out certain possibilites. For the time being put a cotton clothe soaked in hot salted water and apply over knee with give some relief.

Your posture counts more for good health. Do neck exercise after getting up up in the morning by moving up and down, moving sideways left and right, rotate left to right and right to left circularly. Massage with your thumbs from the mid of your shoulder blade towards the neck upwards upto the level of lower part of the ears. By using water or oil. Move only upwards and not dowan wards. You will be alright within 4 days.

Hye, thanks for the query. Being underweight can be a concern if it's the result of poor nutrition. Here are some healthy ways to gain weight when you're underweight: eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals. Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, rice and cereals; fruits and vegetables; dairy products; lean protein sources; and nuts. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes. Snack on nuts, dried fruits and fresh fruits. Even when you're underweight, be mindful of excess sugar and fat. An occasional slice of cake or ice cream is fine. But most sweets should be healthy and provide nutrients in addition to calories. Sheera, lassi and chikki are good choices. Exercise, especially strength training, can help you gain weight by building up your muscles. Exercise may also stimulate your appetite.

Weight gain is muscle gain and not fat gain. In your condition your energy requirement is very high so whatever you eat is used as a source of energy and you do not make muscle. To gain muscles you will have to eat at least 6 meals (high calorie) in a day at a regular interval with a proper ratio of proteins and carbohydrates. Proteins will help you gain body mass while carbohydrates will help you give energy. Protein foods are eggs, fish, chicken, milk and milk products, meat and dals. Carbohydrate foods are roti and rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. You have to eat vegetables and fruits and use healthy and good fats for cooking like ghee, cold pressed mustrad or til oil. You will also have to do some weight training exercise to help you build mass into the body. Also drink enough water to keep you hydrated. You can take weight gainers like serious mass.

When Is the Right Time to Have a Fruit? And Why You Should Avoid It After a Meal?

Undoubtedly eating fruits contribute to good health and provides a range of other benefits for your body. Nevertheless, you must follow some simple guidelines so that you eat fruits the right way. Eating fruits as and when you like doesn't do much good. Therefore, it is essential to know when and how to consume fruits in order to fully benefit from it. 

Right time to eat fruits:

  1. Eating fruits first thing in the morning is preferable as you gain all the nutrients your body requires, which keeps you nourished and energized. Eating fruits on an empty stomach promotes good health and helps you shed the extra kilos. Additionally, it also prevents digestive problems and keeps you in good shape as your body fully absorbs all the vitamins, good carbohydrates and fiber present in the fruits.
  2. Eating fruits between breakfast and lunch is also an option that can help you maintain a proper diet. If you choose to have your fruit helping after breakfast, it is essential to adjust the proportion and time of both the meals accordingly. A fruit helping after breakfast should keep you full for at least two hours, thereby ensuring proper digestion. Make sure you balance your meals accordingly and do not end up overeating. 

Why fruits should be avoided after meals:

  1. Even though fruits have high nutrition value, it also contains calories. If you consume a bowl of fruits just after your meal, chances are that your body may get more calories than it requires. No matter how healthy fruits are, eating them after meals can cause significant weight gain. Also, it is essential to keep in mind to not make your diet fruit heavy as then your body is deprived of nutrition present in meats, vegetables, dairy products and whole grains.
  2. It is of utmost importance that you avoid eating fruits just before going to bed. Fruits contain a lot of sugar which can, in turn, increase your energy levels thereby, keeping you awake when you need to sleep instead.

Drink 2-3 glass of water in the morning empty stomach, and 3-4 litres of water during the day daily. Walk for minimum 5 minutes. You may also mix two spoons of isabgol in a glass of warm milk and drink it just before you go to bed. It will help. Thank You.

Nuts contain healthy fats and are a healthy way to increase your weight. However, do not stuff yourself with them, as you will not feel hungry for your next meal.
