Firstly avoid strain like jump and running its strain do physiotherapy treatment for 7 days wax therapy tens and ultrasonic therapy. After relief do quadriceps exercise and hamstring stretching in gradually y if it work then ok otherwise x-ray of ankle joint.

My aunt is suffering from knee pain since 2 years and we have been taking her to different doctors all they have given medicines but that has no effect on her health. Her pain is unbearable and it is said that this is because of less of fluid in knee joint. Please help me regarding this issue.

Hello, Lybrate user, She should consult a physiotherapist apart from medication, please. Give her homoeo medicine:@ Colchicum 1000-6 pills, wkly. Should drink lukewarm water. Her diet be easily digestible on time. Avoid, cold intake, dust ,jerks, lifting weight. Report fortnightly. Tk, care.

It is rheumatoid arthritis. Every joint swells and my mother suffers severe pain. Specially foot joints, finger joints and hand joints. Though treatment is going on some time it is unmanageable. Dr. Have prescribed steroids. Is it safe to continue?

No steroids is for instant relief for pains. But it let your disease in to bad conditions as it decrease your immunity. So my advice is to not continue it. Just follow ayurvedic medicines for long term effects.

Hello apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation .take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Avoid fermented food. Junk food.

Dear user. Jumpers knee or patellar tendonitis is an overuse injury that results in pain at the front of the knee, localised at a point towards the bottom of the kneecap. Repetitive strain from too much running or jumping causes inflammation or degeneration of the patella tendon. Please consult a bone specialist for treatment and take rest for a month. Take care.

Hello. The answer to your question can be given very vaguely coz you have not specified your both legs starting and ending points of pain. Assuming it to be starting from knee. Then my friend you have landed ypurself in one of teh most common and easliy treatable disease. As per your age, I would highly recomend an x-ray before I make any comment so as to know extent of your bones involvement. And then see you so as to treat you. You are so young it's old age problem. Change food habites. Add in your food calcium, vitamines, proteins, carbohydrates, green vegitabales, milk end milk products. Do arobic excersices, yoga, walking, cycling will help you. Take 1 calcium tablet after dinner with milk for one month. Massaje narayan taila (mfg. By sri sri ayurveda company) report to me for further advice.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part--knee rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi I'm getting knee pain I have met with a small accident 5years before please help me get me out from this.
Knee pain is a common complaint that affects people of all ages. Knee pain may be the result of an injury or some other medical conditions including arthritis, patellar tendinitis, acl injury, knee bursitis, torn meniscus, gout and infections. In your case it is from old injury. Try some home remedies for your pain- - ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. The swollen knee should be elevated above the level of the heart while icing. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting jogging aerobics, dancing playing sport specific exercises will help you improve range of motion, strength, and endurance. It is especially important to focus on strengthening and stretching your quadriceps since these muscles are the main stabilizers of your kneecap. Core exercises may also be recommended to strengthen the muscles in your abdomen and lower back. Also maintaining a healthy body weight to avoid overstressing your knees are very important. -a full history of your problem should be taken and your movements assessed by a physiotherapist.
