Magji, I have gone through the details, every thing looks fine. RBC number is low (3.97 million/cc) Rest of the parameters look normal. But glucose (if fasting) then it is in the pre-diabetes range, similarly HbA1c% 6.5 shows there may be diabetes. So it is better if you get a OGTT done in you local pthology lab. Thanks.

What are the different types of diabetes. What precautions should be taken to avoid diabetes.

MD - Medicine
General Physician, Delhi
What are the different types of diabetes. What precautions should be taken to avoid diabetes.
Increase thirst, increased frequency of urination are some initial symptoms of diabetes but it can vary from being completely asymptomatic to non specific symptoms like weakness, tingling in feet, dry mouth, blurry vision, burning during urination. You need to follow a healthy lifestyle to prevent such metabolic diseases. Type 1 usually occurs at younger age due to insulin deficiency and treated with insulin injections. Type 2 usually in adults due to insulin resistance and treated with oral medicines. It can't be cured completely but you can keep it controlled by taking these precautions.

I am having frequent weight gains due to hypothyroidism? What should be diet for hypothyroidism.
If hypothyroidism is in control, weight gain can be controlled. When treatment tsh levels should be between 3 to 4 milli units /l, then all symptoms can be controlled. There is no special diet. Few substances like soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, peanuts, mustard and coffee should be avoided. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Consume whole grain products, use whole grain flour for chapati and roti. Avoid using maida and high fat milk products. Plus exercise daily for 1 hour is necessary to control weight.

I am on medications for sugar from past 6 months. Taking Gluconorm G2 (One and half) per day. Till now PPBS test was done after one and half hours but before completion of 2 hours. Is it correct? Some say PPBS should be checked after 2 hours of eating meals.
