When Should You Get Your Liver Checked? 5 Major Symptoms

When Should You Get Your Liver Checked? 5 Major Symptoms
5 Major Symptoms of Liver Problems

Liver is the largest internal organ of our body and plays an indispensable role in a number of important body functions such as blood detoxification, glucose storage, storage of iron and vitamins etc. Liver disease, commonly known as hepatic disease affects a large part of the liver tissue and can be treated effectively if detected while it is in its initial stages.
Here are five major symptoms of liver disease which you must watch out for:
1. Weight loss: Rapid loss of weight is the most common and noticeable symptom of liver disease. If you feel that you have lost an extra couple of kilos within the span of a few months, you should definitely consult your doctor and get a check-up done.
2. Fatigue and weakness: This is usually accompanied by weight loss. As the body loses fat, it tends to become lethargic, low on energy and fragile. Feeling tired at all times and witnessing a reduced stamina can be signs of liver disease.
3. Tendency to easily get bruised: Liver disease affects at least three quarters of the liver tissue which makes your body susceptible to bruises, cuts and wounds. The skin becomes fragile and is thus damaged easily at the slightest provocation. Moreover, once bruised, it also takes a longer time to heal than normal, as the generation of new tissues is erratic and takes longer amount of time.
4. Darker than normal urine: This is another early warning sign of an impending liver disease which can easily be noticed. If you are noticing urine which is dark yellow in colour and this happens continuously for a couple of days, it is in your best interests to consult a doctor at the earliest.
5. Swelling and pain in the abdomen: Abdominal pain is often dismissed as being trivial and occasional but is a definite symptom of liver disease. If you are experiencing severe pain and swelling in the area, make sure to get a doctor’s opinion.

I am 20 years old & I have too much hair fall. I check up many doctor, but there medicine didn't work, what should I do?
There are many reasons associated with hairfall such as genetics, stress, hormonal imbalance , poor diet etc.Try to find out the exact cause so that the treatment can be suggested accordingly. Add adequate amount of protein to your diet. Include skimmed milk, cottage cheese, lentils in diet. Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin B are other important nutrients for great hair health. So include lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your daily diet. Amla juice will also help to control hair loss. Follow a good hair care - Oiling your hair with a mixture of oils like olive, sesame, coconut and castor oil keeps provides moisture to your hair and prevent them from drying and breakage. Once in a week apply a good hair mask. You can mix and prepare different types of masks using green tea, olive oil, milk, gooseberry, etc. You can also start with zinc and biotin supplements.

Sexual Intercourse: It's Good for Your Health!

Sexual Intercourse: It's Good for Your Health!
The act of procreation is both important and enjoyable, but according to several recent studies, it also has quite a few health benefits. These are 12 reasons why you should be having sexual relations on a more regular basis.

1. Orgasms increase the blood flow to the whole brain, making it a better mental exercise than a crossword puzzle.

2. Intercourse causes the brain to release a steroid called DHEA – a main contributor to staying young. Couples who engage in sexual activities 3 times a week look 10 years younger on average.

3. Intercourse can help relieve period symptoms, thanks to the muscle contractions that occur during an orgasm. Furthermore, researchers from Columbia and Stanford found that women who have relations at least once a week enjoy more predictable cycles.

4. According to Women’s Health Magazine, vaginal stimulation can relieve chronic back pains, leg pains, headaches and migraines.

5. The Lifestyle Mirror recently interviewed Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi, who said that “Regular sex increases blood flow and decreases stress hormones in the body, and those stress hormones wreak havoc on the skin.”

6. Having intercourse in the morning was found to boost both our mood and our immune system.

7. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, people who engage in penile-vaginal intercourse enjoy much lower blood pressure.

8. After intercourse, the level of oxytocin (the “love hormone”) in men is elevated. Men with elevated oxytocin levels are less likely to “stray”, which means that having relations literally makes men stay in a relationship.

9. Men who ejaculate more often are less likely to develop prostate cancer.

10. Intercourse boosts the levels of immunoglobulin – an antibody that protects us from the common cold and the flu.

11. Sexual activity burns calories like a moderate exercise session. For every minute spent ‘doing it’, men burn 4 calories and women burn 3.

12. According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, men who have relations on a regular basis are 45% less likely to develop life-threatening heart conditions.

Hello, There are few yoga poses which helps in calming your mind and relieves stress, but first learn these under a qualified yoga-teacher as many poses are prohibited in certain diseases or medical conditions! Exercises: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. Anuloma involves inhaling through both nostrils together and exhaling each breath alternately between the left and right nostrils. The thumb of the right hand is used to manipulate the right nostril, while the pinky and ring finger are used to control the left nostril. There are many other poses of yoga like Balasan, Setu Bandha Sarvangasan, Uttanasan, Garudasan, Savasana, Triconasana, Viprita Karani, Marjaryasana, Dhyana, Bhujangasana, Anulom-Vilum, Pranayam, etc. Another stress-buster can be getting involved in any of your hobbies (may be a childhood hobby which you used to enjoy a lot!) - dancing, singing, painting, listening to soothing music, playing musical instruments, etc. (Believe me, you would really enjoy doing this alone as well or may be with your friends, kids). Medication: Take homoeopathic medication - Schwabe's Bacopa Monierri 1x/ thrice daily and Kali Phos. 6x/ once at night - take them for 4 weeks.

She sometimes notices the signs of periods like swollen breast and abdomen pain, back pain but didn't got periods. Is this due to that I pill? Please guide us what to do. And what if she is pregnant as we are not married . Is there any medicine to to cure this irregularity of periods. Please guide us. Thanks.

Hi Pawan definitely this period problem can be solved. however first the cause must be found out. IN your case there are 2 possibilities, pregnancy and hormonal disturbance due to Ipill. I suggest you repeat the test again but with an early morning sample of urine for accurate results. if still negative we can start with medicines to resume her periods.

I had protected sex with my boyfriend. I did the pregnancy test too. It's negative. Then am I not getting my periods....
If your pregnancy test is -ve, you might have done too earlier or Your delayed menses may be the result of your stress. As stress plays an important role in irregular menstrual cycle. *When you're under physical or emotional stress, your body produces the stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol. Elevated levels force the brain to decide which bodily functions are essential and which are nonessential until the stressful event is over. Things like blood flow to the muscles and oxygen to the lungs increase while others, like digestion and the reproductive system, may stop temporarily in extreme cases.  Other factors causing delayed menses like change in schedule, hormonal imbalance, increase or decrease in weight.
