How should I behave with my life partner? We quarrel regularly for no reason. Whenever she raises her voice I decrease mine. But when I raise my voice she never decreases her voice and in turn barks at me like hell that world gonna end today and we are gng to leave each other. Is there any suggestion to this problem?

Surely there is solution. Presently you both are" talking" but you both are not" listening" what the other person has to say. Typically with newly married couples, what happens is, both have certain expectations from their spouse, but they do not voice these expectations and expect their spouse to" understand" it on their own. At the same time, what meaning each person is making from the other's actions/remarks also differs - e. G. If the wife says" why are you late again today? the husband thinks she is suspicious or nagging. But what she actually wants to convey is" I want you to come back on time, so that I can spend more time with you" and if the wife is talking to her husband and if the husband is busy watching tv or reading news paper, the wife assumes that she is not important for him, tv/paper is more important, which may not be so. So please remember that most of the relationship issues are because of lack of communication and listening skills. You both please try to learn some communications and listening skills. Learn to express your needs and understand other's needs. It will help you a lot. In the absence of good communication and listening skills, you both will not be able to have any other good relationship. Even if you both decide to leave each other now, you will have similar problems later on, with another person. So the best way is, to understand and accept that you both have come from different homes/backgrounds so you will have clashes because you will have different opinions, perceptions, values expectations etc. If required talk to a counsellor. You both need to work together to make this relationship work. All the best.

I am honestly so confused. I have been feeling very off lately, from not eating or getting sleep or binge eating and sleeping to feeling so low, so empty, and so alone. I tend to cry basically every single day, over nothing really. I just start sobbing, and sometimes it even happens in the middle.

He has a little memory loss problem. Which supplement can give to him for better result. Can Amway products can be use?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
It is not supplement issue and you have amway or any you like. Follow These. 7 Strategies for Remembering 1.Become interested in what you're learning. We're all better remembering what interests us. Few people, for example, have a difficult time remembering the names of people they find attractive. If you're not intrinsically interested in what you're learning or trying to remember, you must find a way to become so. 2.Find a way to leverage your visual memory. You'll be surprised by how much more this will enable you to remember. For example, imagine you're at a party and are introduced to five people in quick succession. How can you quickly memorize their names? Pick out a single defining visual characteristic of each person and connect it to a visual representation of their name, preferably through an action of some kind. Remember: Memory is predominantly visual. 3.Create a mental memory tree. If you're trying to memorize a large number of facts, find a way to relate them in your mind visually with a memory tree. Construct big branches first, then leaves. Branches and leaves should carry labels that are personally meaningful to you in some way, and the organization of the facts (" leaves") should be logical. 4.Associate what you're trying to learn with what you already know. It seems the more mental connections we have to a piece of information, the more successful we'll be in remembering it. This is why using mnemonics. Write out the items to be memorized over and over and over. 5.When reading for retention, summarize each paragraph in the margin. This requires you to think about what you're reading, recycle it, and teach it to yourself again. Even take the concepts you're learning and reason forward with them; apply them to imagined novel situations, which creates more neural connections to reinforce the memory. 6.Do most of your studying in the afternoon. Though you may identify yourself as a" morning person" or" evening person" at least one Study. Suggests your ability to memorize isn't influenced as much by what time of day you perceive yourself to be most alert but by the time of day you actually study—afternoon appearing to be the best. 7.Get adequate sleep to consolidate and retain memories. Not just at night after you've studied but the day, you study as well. Far better to do this than to stay up cramming all night for an exam.

First of all, I am sorry for you loss. As other professionals said, grief after the loss of someone close to you is common. It heals with time. But here in your case. The duration is being quite long. Sometime we need to vent it out. Whatever is there deep inside our heart. The thing that is unconsiously stopping us to come out of the sadness. I know it takes alot to be in that phase. I advice you to please consult a mental health professional. Along with him/her. You can work with your problem. Its just a phase of life. I know you will surely get out of it.

Hello, My age is 19 years. I am the student of B. E. I am suffering from mental problem. I think its an ocd. I always repeat the actions and thoughts. For example- if I have thought of buying a new purse. Then after sometime I will have doubt that did I actually thought of buying a new purse or not. So I again and again repeat that what actually have I thought. And the worst situation is that I always have that sensation that if I will not repeat something bad will happen with me or with my family. So I repeat and repeat. After when I clear that yes the thought was of the purse buying then immediately I should remember god. If god not came in my mind I repeat again until god comes in my mind or my family members. I also have negative thoughts. Bad thoughts. Violent thoughts and images. I am even not able to concentrate on my studies. Please help me what should I do to avoid such things?

Hello, My age is 19 years. I am the student of B. E. I am suffering from mental problem. I think its an ocd. I always...
Yes, these are the classic symptoms of ocd. You must immediately meet a counselor and a doctor for follow-up treatment. Since you are young the possibilities are immense if you cooperate. Ocd is a fear based reaction and can be quite debilitating if neglected. So you could see where this fear has originated and your parents help and involvement is recommended. They will have an insight as to how and where the fear came about. If you deal with the fear, the ocd which is a symptom of that fear can be dealt with more effectively. In the meantime you can build your constitution and your emotional make up with some regular physical exercises, proper sleep, and a healthy diet. Your emotional fitness can be developed with the counselor.

Last 6 months I am suffering from anxiety and also I am taking prescription from neuro psychologist now I am feeling better but my question is when I will stop my tablets.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
You will stop taking medication when you get well and work along with a counselor to develop skills and techniques and tools to handle the daily stresses of life. Please combine the two and get the best results. Then as you improve, anywhere between 6 months to three years, with no episodes of anxiety, you can be weaned off of the medication. Anxiety is fear based, and it is an abnormal reaction to fear. These adaptations are not working for you and so the medication. In counseling you could identify the source of this fear and deal with that event in the present and gradually reduce the scare and face it with confidence. In the meantime, do aerobic exercises, yoga and meditation, have a good diet, sleep well and do not increase your stress. In other words; just be responsible, be respectful, and be functional always.

I am not able to concentrate on my studies as compared to earlier! Bore hota h padhne ko -_-

General Physician,
10 Study Tips to Improve Your Learning Study Tip 1: Underlining Underlining is one of the simplest and best known study tips. It’s easy to highlight the most significant parts of what you’re reading. One key sentence per paragraph and a few important phrases here and there. You can only retain a certain amount so it’s best to retain the most important information. Study Tip 2: Make your own note and taking notes is one of the most widespread study skills out there. Essentially the aim of note-taking is to summarise lectures or articles in your own words so you can easily remember the ideas. Study Tip 3: Mind mapping A good Mind map can save you many hours of study and further consolidate your knowledge for your exams. Mind Maps are an extremely versatile tools. They can be used for brainstorming, outlining essays or study topics and for general exam preparation, ExamTime offers the ability to create Mind Maps quickly and easily which makes them the ideal tool when it comes to exams. Study Tip 4: Flash cards:- Using these are a particularly effective method of learning when trying to assimilate different facts, dates, formulas or vocabulary. Subjects such as History, Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Geography or any language are made much easier if you incorporate Flashcards in to your study. Study Tip 5: Case Studies Sometimes it can be difficult to grasp the implications of some theories. This is where studying case studies can be a big help. Case studies can help you visualise a theory and place it in a more familiar and realistic context. This is especially useful in business or law subjects. Study Tip 6: Quizzes are an excellent way to review study notes in the weeks and days before an exam. Quizzes can show where your strengths and weaknesses are, so it allows you to focus your efforts more precisely. Moreover, if you share your Study Quiz with your classmates and test each other as much as possible you can discover even more details and areas you may have overlooked. So before any exam, make sure you create and share a bunch of different Quizzes with your Friends. Study Tip 7: Brainstorming This is another study technique that is ideal for studying with friends and/or classmates. Brainstorming is a great way to expand every possible idea out of any topic. Just get a bunch of friends together and shoot the breeze, there are no wrong answers when brainstorming – just talk and capture the ideas, you can review afterward. Study Tip 8: Mnemonic Rules Mnemonics are especially useful when memorising lists and sets. Mnemonics rules basically work by associating certain concepts with other concepts that are more familiar to us. There are many different ways to make mnemonics and these can be individual to the person. Study Tip 9: ORGANISE your study One of the most effective study skills is also one of the most often overlooked; this is organising your study. Creating a TIME TABLE gives you goals and a time in which to achieve them. Having a study timetable as you study is greatly motivational Study Tip 10: Drawing Many people find it easier to recall images rather than text that is why they are better able to memorise concepts if they associate them with pictures or drawings. If you find answer helpful please click on “helpful” tab for knowing my efforts are useful CONCENTRATION TIPS Here’s some tips to get into a state of deep concentration where work / or studies flow easily so that you can do well in examinations/ and or do your work well. 1) Cut Off the Noise Getting into a state of concentration can take at least fifteen minutes. If you are getting distracted every five, you can’t possibly focus entirely on your work. Request that people don’t interrupt you when working on a big project. If you are required to answer phones and drop-in’s immediately, schedule work when the office is less busy. 2) Structure Your Environment The place you work can have an impact on your ability to focus. Try to locate yourself so you are facing potential distractions such as doors, phones or windows. This way you can take a glance to assess sounds that would otherwise break your focus. 3) Clarify Objectives Know what your goal is clearly before you start. If you aren’t sure what the end result is, the confusion will make it impossible to focus. 4) Divide Blobs. If you have a large project that needs work, clearly identify a path that you will use to get started working on it. If the sequence of actions isn’t obvious, it will be difficult to concentrate. Taking a few minutes to plan not only your end result, but the order you will complete any steps, can save hours in wasted thinking. 5) Know the Rules Get clear on what the guidelines are for the task ahead. What level of quality do you need? What standards do you need to follow? What constraints are there? If the rules aren’t clear from the outset, you will slip out of concentration as you ponder them later. 6) Set a Deadline Deadlines have both advantages and disadvantages when trying to force concentration. A deadline can make it easier to forget the non-essential and speed up your working time. If you give yourself only an hour to design a logo, you will keep it simple and avoid fiddling with extravagant designs. Time limits have disadvantages when they cause you to worry about the time you have left instead of the task itself. 7) Break down Roadblocks Roadblocks occur whenever you hit a tricky problem in your work. This can happen when you run out of ideas or your focus wavers. Break down roadblocks by brainstorming or planning on a piece of paper. Writing out your thought processes can keep you focused even if you might become frustrated. 8) Isolate Yourself Become a hermit and stay away from other people if you want to get work done. Unless your work is based on other people they will only break your focus. Create a private space and refuse to talk to anyone until your work is finished. Put a sign on your door to steer away drop-ins and don’t answer your phone. 9) Healthy Body, Sharper Mind What you put into your body affects the way you concentrate. Nobody would expect peak performance if they showed up drunk to work. But if you allow yourself to get chronic sleep deprivation, overuse stimulants like caffeine or eat dense, fatty foods your concentration will suffer. Try to cut out one of your unhealthy habits for just thirty days to see if there is a difference in your energy levels. I’ve found even small steps can create dramatic changes in my ability to focus. 10) Be Patient Before I write an article, I often sit at my desk for a fifteen or twenty minutes before I put finger on the keyboard. During this time I feel a strong urge to leave or do something else. But I know that if I am patient, I’ll stumble upon an idea to write about and enter a state of flow. Without a little patience, you can’t take advantage of flow when it rushed through you. If you need strong concentration I recommend periods of 90-120 minutes. Any less than that and you will waste too much time getting started before the flow can continue. More than this is possible to sustain focus, but you will probably benefit from a quick break. These are the general guidelines for concentration, studying well or doing your job.

**hello lybrate-user, first of all I would like the appreciate your thought that you want to do some thing to avoid laptop and mobile. **thus, what I mean that you have already taken the first step by deciding that you want to do something, so that you can have a balanced life between laptop - mobile one one side and your priorities like studies on the other side. ** atleat the level of awareness that you have will take you long way. ** firstly, you don't have to completely avoid them. But rather divide your time according to your priorities. If your priority is studies then make a timetable as to how and when and how much time will you give to your studies. Then in breaks you can still operate on mobile and laptop. ** try not to completely be off them as then the craving will be more. ** see that you don't starve your self from studies and other activities as well. ** think of physical activities (swimming, racket games, cycling gym etc,) that you can do so that you r fit at the same time. ** if you want, you can learn to play any musicical instrument, as it's a great way to concentrate and focus in your life. ** all the best for your new improvised lifestyle.

Dear, at your age, memory problems like amnesia are not common. Many young people are having problems with memory. These problems are either they are too busy or due to anxiety and stress. Busy people use organizers or employ a personal assistant because they can't remember every task. You need to understand this. If you still say, you are having memory problems, we need to check your memory using memory test. If you want more of my help in this regard, please contact me. Take care.
