I smoke regularly but since last few days I'm coughing a lot any medicine which you can prescribe?

DAA, DNB
Pulmonologist, Bangalore
Hi. I understand your concerns. You might be having bronchitis which is caused due to smoking. You will need to undergo a detailed examination and investigations like chest x ray to look for infection. If it's normal then you will need to undergo pulmonary function test which is needed for diagnosis and also to assess severity of bronchitis based on which treatemnt can be started. Consult a pulmonologist for the same. Hope your questions were answered. Thanks.

I can see some difference in colour and the smoothness also varies in these areas. But I don't feel a bit of pain or itching or any bad sensation in these areas. I usually see the quite different after taking my bath. What's happening to me?

Basics of sunscreen

MD - Dermatology, MBBS
Dermatologist, Mumbai

Basics to help choose a sunscreen: choose a sunscreen with SPF 30 or more with PA rating +++ or more. Lotions for dry or normal skin, gels for oily or combination skin. Look for words like broad spectrum, non comedogenic. Do reapply every 2-3 hours if out in sun. Also combine it with hats, umbrellas, sunglasses or scarves. They offer very valuable sun protection!
