Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Well. You may be having food after much long intervals. Try to eat a small amount of food on fixed intervals. We call it as divided food therapy. Eat four times in a day divided which you eat in two times. Dont eat any thing junk whenever you feel hungry. Eat regular food. Avoid drinking water in between meal. And dont drink immediately after finishing your meal. Drink after atleast half an hour. Do not have must hot beverages. Like tea of coffee at least at the time of having meal. Try wholesome food like whole wheat chapati, vegetables, salads, plain rice with dal etc. Start daily exercise like 40 mins of brisk walking. But remember start slowly and gradually increase the speed and distance. Achieve 4 kms in 40 mins. Wearing a good quality branded light weight sports shoes. Thank you with regards.

To gain weight it is not about eating too much, but eat high energy and protein dense food frequently in small portions. 1 start eating high energy high protein food. Like almond, ground nut, dry coconut, cashew nut, milk and milk products etc 2 do not take stress, if you are suffering from any kind of stress do yoga and meditation 3 quite smoking or any kind of tobacco. 4 eat food which is less in fiber so it can be digested easily and make you hungry again. 5 instead of eating large quantities of food in single meal take small portions of food frequently

Hi lybrate-user, yes recent us studies have shown that high content of mercury levels in fish. But it does not cause any symptoms of mercury poisoning as it is taken. But pregnant women and children need to be very careful regarding this. So nothing to worry regarding this as of now. Try decreasing the frequency of tuna intake. Knee pain- reasons can be-* cold weather *sitting in inconvenient posture constantly, without changing your position or without movement, *wearing ill fitting sandals, *lack of exercise or *internal disorder like arthritis. Point to observe- * if you have difficulty in climbing stairs, take lift while going upstairs. If there is no lift, go up slowly. * if it is due to strain of games or injury, take rest. * if it is due to obesity, reduce weight. * if it is due to constant sitting at a particular posture, change posture and engage in slow walk. * walking regularly at slow pace without unduly straining helps as it improves blood circulation around knee and eases the joint. *you can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good. Coconut oil will be soothing in summer. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take bryonia 200---twice daily morning and evening and give feedback after 7 days

Healthy weight gain means more increase in muscles and to a certain extent fat in order to support those muscles. Just eating anything or high calorie foods will result in only fat gain which will not give you a proper body shape and will also be detrimental later in life. A diet high in protein and adequate carbohydrate in necessary. In order to achieve a healthy weight you should know what you have to eat and how much to eat. I have 11 years of experience in this field and have helped innumerable people to manage their weight.

Whey protein is food. It is taken after a weight training session because of its capability to recover muscles very fast. Whey protein helps in building immunity and can also be had in place of other proteins like eggs, fish, chicken and paneer in any meal. There are no side effects if you stop taking proteins, it is just that you will lose out on your muscles which are the most metabolically active tissue of your body.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Supplements don't help in isolation. It has to be a part of a calorie dense diet. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.

A. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day.

Hello less weight is sometimes common according to age. Ayurveda believes in digestion not into giving heavy food for weight gain. According to ayurveda, food which are easy to digest but nutrient can gain weight. But I need detait history for perfact solution. Like your appetite? bowel habits sleeping habits kind of your work or job life style diet etc. But till you can do following: take daal rice more. Use cow ghee n milk. Avoid over eating start massage with til oil in morning, after that, do exercise whatever you want then bath focus in yourself avoid stress anger fear take ajvayan 1 tsp after meal. Start chyavanprash in morning.

I am a 41 year male and having two major disorders. First is my constipation as due to uneven sheduled routine of my professional life I am working in shifts some time day some times night. And due to this I dont feel hungry also. Second issue is in 2007 I met with an accident and faced internal injuries in my right knee joint and my pcl was broken then in the year 2010 I had undergone surgery of high tibial osteotomy in mumbai as my tibial bone alignment got disturbed. Now still I dont feel my right knee as same as my left knee. Just wanted to know how to get my right knee equally intact like left knee joint.

To reduce weight you should do regular exercise like running, cycling, sunsalutation, avoid sweets, oily, junk food, do panchakarma at your nearer panchakarma center you can take herbal treatment like medohar guggulu 2 tab tds or triphala tablet 2bid drink lukewarm water avoid oily seeds like groundnut, seasame, coconut etc
