Hello there, for cough, take 2-2 teaspoonful of pranacharya kasantak by mixing it in hot water twice daily. Sitopaladi, praval and tankan bhasm churna taken with honey can also bring relief. Consume this 3 to 4 times a day for relief from dry cough; you can also drink tea with basil leaves or add ginger and black pepper in it. Salted hot water gargling also helps. And stay away from cold drinks and don't take milk when having cough

Greetings Mr. lybrate-user, I understand your query. Gall bladder is an organ in your body, essential for bile juice storage and secretion which is useful in digestion of the food we consume. The location of gall bladder is on the right side of abdomen attatched to lower side of liver. Pain due to gall stones can be vague and mostly presents around belly button or more on right side. Apart from that, other symptoms showing indigestion and change of colour of stools and less commonly jaundice can also occur. So I do not think your symptoms suggests gall stones. Also heriditary concept of gall stones is very rare. Hence please do not be alarmed. Your symptoms mainly suggest it to be gastritis. But again you can always go for an ultrasound abdomen to check for any abnormalities. Coming to the concept of preventing gall stone formation, cholesterol is the main source of gall stones. So be watchful on your cholesterol levels. That would be enough. Any further queries, please feel free to contact me. Thank you.

Your calf muscle may b tight. do stretching exercise. For that u have to learn from good physiotherapist. wear comfortable footwear, I mean which have comfortable sole. For example sports shoes. Avoid prolong standing. Try to do your majority work in sitting position. This problem start with continues pressure on sole muscles. so u have to take couple of more physiotherapy sessions. Thank you.

Hello doctor I am 7 months pregnant and I have swelling in my feet and hands and I feel little pain also in my feet a...
Swelling happens because your body is holding on to more fluid than usual. The increased pressure in your leg veins, and pressure from your growing baby on the big veins in your groin, add to the problem. Swelling is common. About half of all pregnant women experience it. To prevent Swelling Try to eat a balanced diet so that you put on a healthy amount of weight during pregnancy. Aim to reduce how much salt, sugar and fat you have. Cut out pre-packaged, highly processed foods, as they are usually high in all three. Salt causes your body to hold on to more fluid. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, as this will help your body to hoard less water. Rest as much as possible, putting your feet up above your hips. Try not to cross your legs, as this restricts your blood flow. Sit down when you can, and if your work involves standing for long periods of time, move about from one foot to the other to increase blood flow. You can also do these simple foot exercises to reduce swelling in your ankles: bend and stretch your foot up and down 30 times Circle each foot eight times one way and eight times the other way You can do these whether you're standing or sitting. Exercise regularly, especially by walking, swimming, or riding an exercise bike. Or try a water aerobics class – immersion in water may temporarily help reduce swelling, particularly if the water level is up near your shoulders. Go to your Gynecologist if you notice swelling in your face or puffiness around your eyes, more than slight swelling of your hands, or excessive or sudden swelling of your feet or ankles. This could be a sign of preeclampsia, a serious condition. Best wishes.

I am 22 male suffering from backache from 4 months is there any homely treatment?

I am 22 male suffering from backache from 4 months is there any homely treatment?
Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. Management: -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

I am having pain in my heel from past 4 months. It is so severe that sometimes I cnt even able to walk.
Hi pain could be because of bony spurs in the heel. Get x-ray done. And wear heel cushions in the shoes, take ultrasound therapy and contrast bath in physiotherapy. It helps along with foot ankle ex's.
