You just have healthy diet and exercise to gain stamina. You can make your body fit by proper diet and exercise as well. To build your stamina, don’t just rely on physical activity, you also need to watch what you eat. Include a well-balanced diet by adding low-fat products, plenty of fruits and vegetables 1. Just do Warm up for ten to fifteen minutes of easy running. 2. For mental tiredness - do meditation and yoga 3. Mix it up. Run for two minutes at high intensity and then jog slowly for two-minutes, thirty-seconds. Run at top speed for 30 seconds and then jog for 45 seconds. Mix up your intervals at random. 4.Cool down for fifteen to twenty-five minutes. 5. All types of outdoor sports are best to overcome fatigue and boost your stamina level; this is because it is a form of aerobic exercise. Sports like football, basketball and all other sprinting games will help strengthen your heart 6. Include cardiovascular exercises like running, swimming, jumping etc. DIET TO INCREASE STAMINA- Peanut butter is also excellent for building stamina. It is high in calories and digests slowly. Consume peanut butter in combination with complex carbs. Lean meat, fish, chicken and eggs (IF YOU ARE NON- VEGETARIAN" Rich in protein, these foods are important for growth and development, muscle building and repair. -Be sure to eat breakfast -Eating fruits can provide you with immediate energy.-Avoid simple, processed sugars.-Incorporate foods that are rich in omega-3 into your diet.-Mineral dense foods can increase stamina - take green tea these above ways will help you boost stamina. Why Does Depression Make Us Feel Guilt or Shame?

Why Does Depression Make Us Feel Guilt or Shame?

In order to answer this question, it is important that we first discuss what depression is. Feeling sad, lonely or low is very common. So how can we point out which is depression and which is sadness? Well, sadness is a fleeting feeling and is the most normal reaction to loss or life’s struggle. Depression, on the other hand, is pretty permanent (may be not permanent, but it may last really really long or may occur very frequently, if not consulted with a professional). It is so overwhelming and inexplicable that these mental feelings start involving physical symptoms as well. Depression can keep an individual from leading a normal and an active life.

Depression, if not treated, may take an even worse form and might possibly end at suicide. Clinically, certain symptoms that occur persistently might point towards depression.

  1. Inability to concentrate
  2. Fatigue
  3. Guilt and shame
  4. Insomnia
  5. Irritability
  6. Hopelessness
  7. Eating disorders
  8. Loss of interest in previously enjoyable activities
  9. Persistent headaches, pains, aches, digestive problems
  10. Empty feeling
  11. Suicidal thoughts

Here comes the part about guilt and shame. One of the very common symptoms of depression is feeling of unnecessary guilt or shame. Guilt is a feeling of remorse or regret for violating an internal value. Shame is an overall feeling of self contempt. While both these are pretty normal feelings for a normal individual, for depressed individuals, these feelings get magnified to unimaginable extents.

How are these manifested?

  1. Constantly apologising for things one hasn’t done
  2. Blaming themselves for everything
  3. Thinking they don’t deserve happiness
  4. Feeling inferior or unworthy
  5. Feeling of being a burden

The next plausible question is why does this happen?

These feelings generally tend to go back to childhood. People who have faced childhood traumas or have been physically, emotionally or sexually abused are more prone to feelings of depressive guilt or shame. In the young age, they do not really have proper understanding of the situation and hence they end up blaming themselves. During adulthood, they keep believing the same, thus causing intense feelings of guilt and shame. A lot of counselling can bring such individuals to the understanding that whatever happened to them as children was never their fault.

Also, it has been researched that the region in the human brain associated with shame and guilt is unusually active in depressed individuals. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Psychologist.

Pilonidal Sinus And Its Treatment In Ayurveda!

Pilonidal Sinus And Its Treatment In Ayurveda!

Pilonidal Sinus: This disease is characterized by a nodular swelling in lower back region near the tail bone. Sometimes pus or blood mixed watery discharge along with mild pain is noticed. This disease is usually seen in young individuals with hairy skin. Pilonidal sinus is caused by the deposit of tuft of hairs, debris. Pilonidal means nest of hair, and this sinus occurs in the cleft that is at the top of buttocks. The tube-like structure is shaped randomly and contains bunch of hairs. When infected, it causes pain, and one can see pus oozing, with a foul odor. Also called Jeep-Bottom, this disease can cause bleeding, and cyst in the skin covering the tailbone of the back. People who spend a lot of time sitting, and driving for long hours are also prone to have this problem.

Symptoms: The symptoms include pain during sitting and standing, pus and blood oozing from the cleft, hair protruding from the lesion, swelling of the cyst, and external sinus opening that is visible at the base of the spine. If you are in your early 20’s or 30’s, you will know you are spending more than half a day, which can lead to this condition.

Ksharsutra Therapy: In Ayurveda, Ksharsutra therapy is very effective and best as compared to the modern surgery used to treat pilonidal sinus. A medicated thread that is of alkaline nature is used. Under local anesthesia the track is identified properly, and Ksharsutra is placed in to the track. The medicine coated on the thread has selective debridement action (it does not harm healthy tissues but removes all dead and pathological tissues). This is how it ensures the healing of sinus tract by healthy granulation tissue. The medicine of thread is over in a week so it needs to be replaced with a new Ksharsutra. The healing rate is 0.5 cm to 1 cm per sitting. That is to say if a sinus tract is 4 cm long; it may take 4-6 visits at weekly intervals for complete healing.

So it is always advisable to the patients suffering from Pilonidal sinus not to go for surgery which has high incidence of recurrence. They should opt for highly specific Graded Ksharsutra treatment with negligible chances of recurrence.

Dear Lybrateuser, Sagging of breasts is due to breaking of elastic fibers of the skin due to excessive handling which is irrepairable. Pl go for a well fitting bra and do chest exercises. Alternatively there are hormone creams and finally cosmetic surgery.
