Hello lybrate-user. Your tsh levels are raised, that means you have hypothyroidism. Symptoms of hypothyroidism include lethargy, weight gain, feeling cold, difficulty in concentration, etc. You may also have low mood or depression like symptoms. So both are connected to some extent. Kindly see a physician and a psychiatrist who will give you required treatment.

Hypothyroidism - Know Its Homeopathic Remedies!

Hypothyroidism refers to the lack of thyroid hormones in your body. Hypothyroidism is caused when the thyroid gland of your body is unable to produce the thyroid hormones like T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (thyroxine). Hypothyroidism can occur due to the inflammation of the thyroid gland or as a result of previous thyroid treatments, where a major portion of the thyroid producing cells has been removed. Hypothyroidism is more common in women. But, it can develop in any person irrespective of age or sex.

The symptoms of hypothyroidism are as follows:

  1. Fatigue
  2. Increased feeling of cold
  3. Dryness of skin
  4. Constipation
  5. Depression
  6. Obesity
  7. Increased blood cholesterol level
  8. Your muscles may be become weak and you may suffer from muscle pain
  9. Disruption in menstrual cycle

Though these are the common symptoms, but it may vary from person to person. Hypothyroidism is a very common problem and homeopathy offers a very safe, painless and effective treatment for hypothyroidism.

Homeopathic Treatment For Hypothyroidism

Homeopathy is best holistic therapy for hypothyroidism. Homeopathic medicines have been known to correct the imbalance in the thyroid hormones in a very mild and subtle manner.  The homeopathic medicines for hypothyroidism are purely natural in origin and have no side effects at all. They are able to improve the functioning of the thyroid gland permanently. Once cured, one has no need to take medicines and can live a disease free as well as medicine free life.

Doses-

There are excellent remedies in homeopathy for the patients suffering from hypothyroidism symptoms. The homeopathic remedies are prepared from a wide range of substances such as the vegetables, herb, mineral, chemicals and animal products in extremely minute. The homeopathic remedy selected will be based on all the symptoms of the patient including physical, mental and emotional states and family history of the patient.

Homeopathic remedies stimulate the body’s own immune system and offer a long lasting cure rather than giving temporary relief.

There are two ways to treat hypothyroidism-

  1. Supplement body with external thyroid hormone
  2. Administer medicines that could stimulate the thyroid gland

The conventional method is to supplement the hormone. But the problem here is that the body gets used to it and stops producing its own hormone in desired quantity.

In case of homeopathic treatment, it tries to stimulate the gland to make it produce normal production of hormone.

I am 54 years old my blood sugar levels is fasting 200 and pp 150 hb1ac is 8 I'm taking azulix1mf and janumet 50/500.
Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Fasting glucose is too high, PP looks good, but HbA1c% is also high, suggesting improper control. Ideally fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 o 160 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. So there is a need to look at your diet and exercise schedule. By taking properly planned diet and doing enough exercise you should be able to achieve a better control. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Fasting glucose 332 mg & PP 442 mg both confirm that you have uncontrolled diabetes. This needs immediate treatment. It is better if you consult a diabetologist in your area urgently. Please let me know if your parents and or brothers/ sisters has diabetes? Apart from starting treatment with necessary drugs you will have to control your diet and also exercise for at least 1 hour a day. Refrain from alcohol and smoking. Please get a diabetic profile test done and also check your lipids. If you want online guidance, please comeback with all the above mentioned test reports (fasting, PP, HbA1c%, lipid profile, BP readings), in a private conversation (paid consultation), then I will be able to guide and prescribe necessary medications. As in this communication we are supposed to give only general guidelines, no prescriptions are allowed. Or else start immediate treatment under the guidance of a near by diabetologist. Thanks.

Mr. Lybrate-user, looking at your weight and height the bmi is 32.19 kgs /m2, showing grade 1 obesity (normal <23 kgs/m2). For better control of blood glucose it is necessary to maintain normal weight. Your ideal body weight (ibw) should be62 kgs. Therefore to control blood glucose level apart from taking insulin and other drugs it essential to reduce weight. That will also help in controlling lipid levels. Any exercise is as good as other. It is better to start with brisk walking for at least 1 hour a day. Later you can upgrade to jogging. You should also do strength building exercise on 2 days a week in addition to aerobic activity. Plus certain yogasanas and pranayam will also be beneficial. Blood sugar control will need insulin, oral drugs plus exercise, weight reduction and diet control. All these factors together will help. Thanks.

Magji, I have gone through the details, every thing looks fine. RBC number is low (3.97 million/cc) Rest of the parameters look normal. But glucose (if fasting) then it is in the pre-diabetes range, similarly HbA1c% 6.5 shows there may be diabetes. So it is better if you get a OGTT done in you local pthology lab. Thanks.
