Tendinitis, the inflammation of a tendon, occurs at the joints of the human body, including the ankle, knee, hip, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Commonly the result of a repetitive stress injury or from overuse, tendinitis occurs where a muscle attaches to a bone. Tendons, like ligaments, are made of fibrous soft tissue, which is strong and flexible, yet can cause pain when injured. Several homeopathic remedies are available to treat and reduce the pain of tendinitis. Consultation with a qualified practitioner should be sought for chronic conditions. Ruta Graveolens The pain associated with tendinitis that will respond particularly well to Ruta graveolens is one of feeling bruised or beaten. Similar to the symptoms of Rhus tox, a person needing Ruta for treatment of inflammation will feel worse from cold air or applications, and worse in wet weather. However, pain is relieved by motion, or activity of the affected part.

partial tears do not require any surgery. Unless you have any mechanical symptoms like locking you can treat it conservatively. once the pain settles then you have to do quadriceps and hamstring strengthening exercises. avoid high impact activities like jogging on artificial terrain and contact sports.

Sir I have some body problems how to solve my problem leg pain, head pain etc any one solution.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Sir I have some body problems how to solve my problem leg pain, head pain etc any one solution.
Hello, Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? Any underlying medical condition? The pain in legs can be because of - muscle cramps (due to tiredness or dehydration), Shin splints (doing activity over and over on hard surfaces can bring this on. You may also be more likely to get shin splints if you have flat feet or your feet turn outward. Rest your legs to feel better. Ice helps), Tendinitis (you can get it from overworking the calf muscle or climbing the stairs, apply ice to get some relief), Sprains (do rest, ice, compression & elevation). Other causes are varicose veins, arterial disease, sciatica, diabetic neuropathy. Medication: Meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get back to me thereafter. For headache: Some primary headaches can be triggered by lifestyle factors, including: Alcohol, particularly red wine Certain foods, such as processed meats that contain nitrates Changes in sleep or lack of sleep Poor posture Skipped meals Stress Insufficient sleep or rest Overexertion Nutritional deficiencies A secondary headache is a symptom of a disease that can activate the pain-sensitive nerves of the head. Any number of conditions — varying greatly in severity — may cause secondary headaches. Get your blood pressure checked, make a chart. Let me know about the readings, will give you medication accordingly. Also, get eyes tested. Medication: Meantime, can start with homoeopathic medicine - Bakson's Mig-Aid tablet/ after every 2 hours.

Simple ways to reduce risk of falling, especially for the elderly

Doctor Of Physical Therapy (DPT), Bachelor of Physical Therapy
Physiotherapist, Bangalore
Simple ways to reduce risk of falling, especially for the elderly
Preventing falls is a special concern for men and women with osteoporosis. Falls can increase the risk of fracturing a bone in the hip, wrist, spine, or other part of the skeleton. In addition to the environmental factors listed below, falls can also be caused by impaired vision and/or balance, chronic diseases that affect mental or physical functioning, and certain medications, such as sedatives and some antidepressants. It is important that individuals with osteoporosis be aware of any physical changes that affect their balance or gait, and that they discuss these changes with their health care provider.

Outdoors:
1. Use a cane or walker for added stability.
2. Wear rubber-soled shoes for traction.

Simple tips
1. Make sure lighting is adequate especially night as falls are common when trying to walk in dark.
2. Eliminate clutter in the house and neatly strap loose wires etc so it does not come in the way.
3. Avoid using rugs where foot or cane can catch while walking.
4. Make sure there are bars to hold on to in the bathroom.
5. Elderly patients will reduce fall risk if they do gentle stretching exercises daily and keep up their walking.
