I am 40 years old and having migraine since 30 years . Nowadays my sensitivity towards migraine has become more, I am experiencing extreme giddiness, like in fainting, while in sleeping posture. I fell in the bathroom and lost consciousness suddenly during a migraine attack once. My husband brought me outside and he observed that I was neither speaking or was responding to his speech. He said that all I did was kept staring. Then I became normal after 5 minutes and did not remember anything which happened after I lost my consciousness. And recently after a headache I came across a very unusual and very new kind of experience while asleep. I was sleeping and suddenly one side of my whole body became numb. I could not speak anything nor could I move any part of my body and could do nothing to call for help. This condition lasted for 10 to 15 seconds of time. Then it became normal and I fell asleep. It was normal after I woke up also but the migraine headache persisted.

MBBS
General Physician,
I suggest you to test yourself by following stand in a relax position with both lower limbs one ft apart, spread upper limbs in the front, now close your eyes for 10 seconds. Let me know what is your experience. We will move forward to the treatment then. And for your migraine,, search for the triggering factor and avoid. Find out relieving things and use. E. G. When you start to have the episode, drink strong coffee and observe whether it improves or worsens. We can have good control over it with some medications, do come for follow up. Regards.

I have problem of insomnia from last few weeks. Please tell me a best medicine for relax my body.
Hell lybrate user- this might be due to following reasons so try to avoid them- a) sleeping in day time. B) going to bed late (generally after 10 pm). C) lack of hair oiling. D) excessive intake of spicy and fried diet and less intake of sweets. Avoid these reasons and use mahabhringraj hair oil for head massage daily before going to bed, you will get relief quickly.

Its primarily due to disturbances in frontal cortical regions, the basal ganglia, and the midbrain locomotor region, though palliative treatment is available requires detailed questioning so as to ascertain your personality and to treat you symptomatically. Treatment is safe and without side effects in biochemic system of medication. Consult me in private.

My problem is going on for around 6 months. I went to a neurologist with problems of body ache, insomnia and anxiety. He suggested me meds like lonazep and test of vitamin B12 and vitamin D. I took these meds and got the tests done three months after when the problem came up again. In the tests my vit d came as low as 7 and b12 was borderline. I went to a physician who prescribed cap lumia, once a week, shelcal everyday for three months and Matilda forte for a month. Along with this I had heaviness/burning mild pain in the right side of my stomach you see the ribs which went till back. For this he got ultrasound done which had everything normal but there was a mild fatty liver. After s few days of this I got throat infection and fever for which I got antibiotics and got ok. Now the problem is that the burning pain which goes in between is still there but is mild though. I sprained my knee so am going to an ortho who says its a ligament injury. But also have popping sound coming from my joints, I still have anxiety and insomnia. And also some rashes have come on my body last week small bumps which are itchy. Could these be because of medicines? I even got an HIV test done which was non-reactive- And I feel really very low on energy and mood. I have been seeing different docs for sometime like I said, a neurologist, physician, and two different ortho and have gone through many tests. Have also lost 2.5 kgs of weight. Which I don't mind as I am over weight. What do you think could be the problem or is suggested?

Dear Lybrate user. You have described the symptoms suggestive of anxiety, somatic problems and paresthesias like burning sensations, insomnia and some depressive features. These are some common combination of problems in one's life in today's world full of stress. You should practice stress management techniques and also there are very good medications to treat your symptom combination. Take the right step to inquire with a psychiatrist. Take care.

I have facial paraylise for six years. I am 30years age. Someone guide me for this.

Doctor Of Physical Therapy (DPT), Bachelor of Physical Therapy
Physiotherapist, Bangalore
Facial paralysis at your age is mostly due to bells palsy and you need to get it diagnosed correctly. Sometimes our facial nerve stops functioning due to unknow reason and one side of face muscles get weak. Usually the function returns in few weeks to couple months. During that time it is very important to keep these small muscles in face from loosing muscle mass (called atrophy) I can help with an exercise plan to strengthen the face muscles and improve closing of eyes, closing of mouth, smile etc. Keep a positive attitude and keep working at these exs. Check with a neurologist if any meds can help too. Good luck.

I have weekly one day will come migraine, especially Monday, please tell how to cure?

MBBS, MD Psychiatry, DNB Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Nagpur
Migraine is a relapsing type of headache. It is usually seen in females but may occur in males too. Management of migraine includes treatment for acute headaches and then treatment for prevention of future attacks of migraine. This is decided according to the onset, type, duration, severity of headaches and also the associated symptoms like sleep problems, stress, anxiety etc.

My brother is suffering from epilepsy from last 4 years, he was under medication both morning and evening dose upto now but we have stop his medicine for morning only. Will there be any problems bcoz of that? We have stop his morning dose because he use to sleep more due to those tablet and feel low all day. And also some time he forgot everything all of sudden for 2 or 3 minutes.

MBBS, MD - Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Guwahati
Difficult to say regarding medication. But it seems he might have seizure episode during that 2 to 3 minute of memory loss. A EEG would be a better investigation. Consult a neurologist.
